In light of Diddy's recent arrest on September 16, 2024, there have been multiple rumors and news surrounding the people associated with the rapper. According to Page Six, dated October 4, 2024, X owner Elon Musk bragged about his friendship with the Last Night rapper to Revolt CEO Detavio Samuels. This was reported by Kate Cogner and Ryan Mac in their book 'Character Limit: How Elon Musk Destroyed Twitter'.

According to the book, in his conversation regarding Diddy to Detavio Samuels, Elon Musk mentioned:

“I don’t know if you know this, but Puff is an investor in Twitter. You know, he’s a good friend of mine. We text a lot.”

Revolt is a media company founded by Diddy and the book, 'Character Limit: How Elon Musk Destroyed Twitter', mentions an interaction between Samuels and Musk surrounding growing instances of racism on X, during which Musk mentioned his friendship with the rapper.

"How many people in music & entertainment knew about this?”- Elon Musk comments on latest charges against Diddy

In a recent press conference held by high-profile Texas attorney Tony Buzbee on October 1, 2024, the lawyer revealed that he would be representing 120 individuals, all of whom have filed complaints against Diddy.

Sharing the details of the lawsuits, Buzbee mentioned that 25 of the claimants are minors and one of the abuses allegedly happened to a nine-year-old child. The lawyer also mentioned that all the claims underwent corroboration and vetting.

The details of the press conference were covered by The Daily Mail, and an X user posted the headline of the article comprising the details of the same on October 2, 2024. Elon Musk reposted the tweet questioning:

"How many people in music & entertainment knew about this?"

Musk's tweet questioning Diddy's actions and people who knew about his alleged doings, has given rise to speculations. Internet users are wondering if Musk was aware of the rapper's wrongdoings himself.

According to Page Six, there are photographs of the I Need A Girl rapper and Musk present together at the same event and an instance of the same is when the two attended Dave Chapelle's Netflix Is a Joke Festival in May 2022.

Additionally, Diddy was revealed as one of the investors in Elon Musk's X from the time Musk acquired the platform in a $44 billion deal. As per AS, the rapper reportedly invested $10 million in Twitter's takeover and this disclosure was a part of a list of 100 shareholders who were connected to Musk's Twitter acquisition in 2022.

The disclosure revealing the names of the shareholders was the result of a lawsuit filed by former Twitter employees accusing Elon Musk of violating their arbitration agreements.

Multiple publications like PEOPLE have tried reaching out to Elon Musk for a comment on his equation with the rapper. However, the X owner has not given a statement yet.

Notably, Diddy has been charged with s*x trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and interstate transportation for prostitution, by a grand jury. He is currently at the Metropolitan Detention Center, Brooklyn, awaiting his trial. The rapper has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
