Eminem to release latest studio album in 2024

In addition to his upcoming performance at the US Grand Prix, the singer has previously headlined the 2012 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as well as the F1 Rock Concerts at the 2010 Brazilian Grand Prix.

The singer is set to release his latest studio album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), this year. The rapper shared in an Instagram post that the album’s releasing in “summer 2024.” The lead single for the album, Houdini, was released on May 31, 2024. The single was successful, securing the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

Prior to the release of the single, the singer released a teaser video that centers around a detective investigating the apparent death of his alter ego, Slim Shady, in what appears to be a nod to the title of the upcoming album.

Eminem's recent career highlights

Eminem released The Marshall Mathers LP 2 in 2013. The sequel to his seminal The Marshall Mathers LP, the sequel secured the top position on multiple album charts, including the Billboard 200. The album continues where the first album left off, with a retro turntablism inspired sound accompanying the tracks of the sequel.

Speaking about the album in an exclusive interview with The Rolling Stone magazine on October 26, 2013, Eminem stated that the album's vibe and nostalgia was all that mattered:

"Calling it The Marshall Mathers LP 2, obviously I knew that there might be certain expectations. I wouldn't want to call it that just for the sake of calling it that. I had to make sure that I had the right songs – and just when you think you got it, you listen and you're like, 'F**k, man. I feel like it needs this or that,' to paint the whole picture."

The singer continued:

"So there's not gonna be, like, continuations of every old song on there or anything like that. To me, it's more about the vibe, and it's more about the nostalgia."

Since then, Eminem has released three albums: Revival in 2017, Kamikaze in 2018, and Music to Be Murdered By in 2020. While each was successful in its own right, none surpassed the success of the 2013 sequel album.
