Lil Uzi Vert teases fans once again with a new trailer for their highly anticipated fourth studio album Eternal Atake 2, set for release on November 01, 2024.
On October 27, Uzi dropped their second official teaser for EA2. Directed by Gibson Hazard, the visuals present the trailer as the opening credits for a fictional sitcom called "Eternal Atake 2 TV Show".
The trailer also features the album's theme song, Uzi The Earthling! (The TV Theme), which was released on all streaming platforms last week. On the record, a woman sings:
"Here's the story of a guy named Uzi / Who's known for his diamonds and his style / From the streets to the stage, boy is busy / Making music that'll make you smile / Little Uzi Vert, he's the one to see / Bringing joy to you and me / Little Uzi Vert, he's the one to see"
While the trailer reveals little about the upcoming album beyond its ominous tone, the sitcom-style visuals highlight recurring extraterrestrial elements, such as the bright yellow alien script flashing across the screen.
While much of the tracklist for the album is still under wraps, several unconfirmed posts from online music news outlets, like NFR Podcast, suggest Uzi had posted and deleted a possible line-up for their upcoming album featuring the following records:
- Uzi The Earthling! (The TV Theme)
- I’m Cooked (Skit) (ft. Bling Bling
- Don’t Think They Ready (Pre-Game)
- Aura (intro)
- Wocky Slush
- Big Time Rush
- Stop It
- Stank
- Leslie
- Lyft
- How?
- Eye 2 Eye (Song Cry)
- Don’t Do It
- Na Uh Uh
- Potion
- All What
- Chill Ebro
According to Apple Music, Eternal Atake 2 will host a total of 17 full-length tracks and will reportedly include a record titled EA2 (The Beginning of the ERA), which is also the title for EA2's first trailer.
"My eternals = ragers for life" - Lil Uzi Vert gears up for release of fourth studio album Eternal Atake 2
On October 24, 2024, Lil Uzi Vert finally confirmed the rumors surrounding a sequel to 2020's Eternal Atake, which debuted at No.1 on Billboard's Hot 100, after posting the official cover art for Eternal Atake 2.
The announcement arrived exactly one year after Uzi declared their retirement from hip-hop with the release of the highly anticipated Luv Is Rage 3 project.
"I came to this conclusion not too long ago. I was gonna wait ’til later to say it, but, you know, I’m dropping Luv Is Rage 3, and, you know, Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album." - Lil Uzi Vert stated.
The day fans received the EA2's cover art, Uzi also unveiled the first trailer for the album called EA2 (The Beginning of the ERA).
The trailer seemingly finds Lil Uzi Vert being transported out of earth in a UFO that jumps through a wormhole, made to resemble a key-lock, taking the rapper to an alien society that captures the rapper and re-programs their brain.
Social media stories and elements from the album's trailer hint at a deeper extraterrestrial theme, further emphasized by the alien texts posted to Uzi's official Instagram.
"⎍⋉⟟ ⏁⊑⟒ ⟒⏃⍀⏁⊑⌰⟟⋏☌. ☊⍜⋔⟟⋏☌ ⌇⍜⍜⋏ ⏁⍜ ⏃ ⌇⏁⍀⟒⏃⋔⟟⋏☌ ⌇⟒⍀⎐⟟☊⟒ ⋏⟒⏃⍀ ⊬⍜⎍", translated from Lingojam, "Uzi the earthling, coming soon to a streaming service near you" - Lil Uzi Vert's caption reads.
The alien thematics continue with Uzi taking to their Instagram stories to build anticipation for the upcoming album citing an unconfirmed "friend" who helped him while he was in "outer space".
"I promise they are going to love our story. My processor/my dog / my new best friend. Not gonna lie being in outer space is not good for you I’m glad I’m back. Will finish telling my journey uhhh tomorrow. EA2. " - posted in a now-deleted Instagram story.
Eternal Atake 2 follows Lil Uzi Vert's third studio album, Pink Tape, which topped the Billboard album charts in 2023. As part of EA2's rollout, the rapper updated the cover art of all their projects, across major streaming platforms, to include an image of a key-lock.
