Cassie Ventura, the American singer and actress's 2016 video recently surfaced online that allegedly showed her ex Sean “Diddy” Combs physically assaulting her. The footage matched the allegations of a now-settled federal lawsuit filed by Ventura in November 2023.

She began her musical career in late 2004 after signing with record producer Ryan Leslie. She was under contract with his record label, NextSelection Lifestyle Group before releasing her debut album Cassie on Diddy's label, Bad Boy Records in August 2006.

She has also appeared in various movies and TV shows including Empire, Spenser Confidential, Step Up 2: The Streets, and more. The singer is currently married to her personal trainer Alex Fine and the pair share two daughters, Frankie Stone Fine and Sunny Cinco Fine.


Cassie Ventura's career explored as Diddy assault surveillance video surfaces online

Casandra Elizabeth Ventura, professionally known as Cassie Ventura settled a lawsuit accusing Sean Combs of r*pe and abuse, on November 17, 2023. The pair had met in 2005 when she was 19, and he was 37. Diddy teamed with Ryan Leslie, who wrote and produced her first single Me & U, to record Cassie's debut album, a year later.

Cassie Ventura has since accumulated a wealth of $4 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth. She rose to fame when her single reached the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The actress collaborated with various artists after meeting Diddy including Nicki Minaj, G-Eazy, Kanye West, and Pharell Williams. The singer also featured in some of their music videos including Wiz Khalifa's Roll Up.

In her career, Cassie Ventura has released two studio albums, two mixtapes, and 15 singles, and appeared in 17 music videos. She also dabbled in modeling, as she became a muse for various fashion designers and brands. She signed a contract to be the face of Forever 21's summer 2013 collection and also appeared in advertisements for Delia's, Adidas, Abercrombie & Fitch, Clean & Clear, and more.

Cassie Ventura is also famous for her roles in The Perfect Match, Honey 3: Dare to Dance, Barbarian, and more. She left Diddy's Bad Boy records in 2019, following the incident mentioned in the lawsuit.


About the latest surveillance footage released by CNN

CNN released a 2016 surveillance footage on May 17, 2024, showing the rapper allegedly punching, dragging, and kicking the singer as she tried to get out of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.

Ventura can be seen exiting from a hotel room and making her way to a bank of lifts in the video. Combs followed Ventura down a hallway while carrying a towel around his waist. He allegedly throws her to the ground. The footage then shows him turning to kick her while still keeping his towel closed with one hand.

Diddy is also allegedly seen sitting down on a chair, grabbing an object off a table, and throwing it toward Cassie Ventura. About the clip, Cassie's attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, stated

"The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light."

When contacted by CNN, Ventura declined to comment on the video. Sean Combs has previously denied the allegations made against him.
