A recent report about Taylor Swift and Beyoncé joining forces to host a fundraising concert in support of VP Kamala Harris for the 2024 Presidential run went viral online. The news was published on UK Discoverer on July 23 after Joe Biden stepped down from the Democratic Presidential race and endorsed Harris to be the Presidential nominee, on July 21.

UK Discoverer’s article claimed Taylor and Queen Bey’s concert would be held at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. However, neither Beyoncé nor Taylor Swift has announced anything about an upcoming joint concert on their official social media accounts. The statement above is fabricated and no public announcement regarding the purported concert has appeared on prominent news outlets.

According to UK Discoverer's website, several other renowned musical artists were also supposed to grace the stage:

"With a lineup that includes some of the biggest names in music, the event aims to rally support for Harris’s ongoing efforts to address critical issues such as climate change, social justice, and economic equality."

Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, and Jay-Z were reported to be among the other artistes to grace the fundraising concert, as stated by UK Discoverer. The website claimed, Taylor and Beyoncé issued a joint statement addressing the alleged upcoming concert:

"We believe in the power of music to bring people together and drive change. This concert is our way of using our platforms to support a leader who is dedicated to making a positive impact on our country. We are thrilled to bring our fans together for a night of incredible music and unity in support of Kamala Harris."

In light of these recent rumors, fact-checking site Snopes has debunked the UK Discoverer’s article explaining the website is known to publish reports based on false information. After looking into the claim, Newsweek also called it "an erroneous report".

Taylor Swift and Beyonce have not explicitly spoken about their political inclination for 2024 election

Fans were really excited after UK Discoverer's article about Taylor Swift and Beyoncé's fundraising concert circulated online. Some believed the news and were looking forward to the show. Unfortunately, there will not be any joint concert.

UK Discoverer's article was published after Beyoncé permitted her 2016 track Freedom to be used throughout Kamala Harris' campaign. As it commenced on July 22, Beyoncé's song was first played as Vice President Kamala Harris officially visited her campaign headquarters for the first time on Monday evening.

Nonetheless, it is to be noted that Beyoncé has not publicly voiced her support for Harris in the 2024 Presidential run as of now.

Taylor Swift, on the other hand, was seen expressing her approval of Harris as the Vice President in 2020. Kamala Harris wrote on Twitter (Now X) at the time:

"@JoeBiden can unify the American people because he's spent his life fighting for us. And as president, he'll build an America that lives up to our ideals."

She added:

"I'm honored to join him as our party's nominee for Vice President, and do what it takes to make him our Commander-in-Chief."

Taylor Swift retweeted Harris' post and wrote "YES".

However, for the 2024 election, The Tortured Poets Department hitmaker has not yet explicitly spoken about her political endorsement.
