Dua Lipa is preparing for her Radical Optimism Tour 2025, starting March 20. As tickets went on sale for concerts worldwide, a fan shared an image claiming that 50 million people tried to buy tickets for Dua Lipa's Madrid concert, with millions still in the online queue.

The image reported there were 50,734,893 people in line for the Madrid show and noted that ticket availability was very low due to high demand. Many other X accounts reshared the image, spreading the news about the ticket rush.

It is worth noting that Dua Lipa will be performing in Madrid at the WiZink Center on May 11 and 12, 2025. However, as per the website of Real Madrid, the center has a seating capacity of only 15,000 people, hence, the ticket sales would be around the same figure. But, upon opening the website selling the tickets for the concert, many tickets to the singer’s show are still available.

Hence, if 50 million people were in the queue, the tickets would have been sold out long back. Therefore, the news about 50 million people trying to buy Dua Lipa’s concert tickets is fake and misleading.

50 million people were not trying to buy the tickets for Dua Lipa’s concert: Fan admitted sharing altered image

Dua Lipa caused a buzz on social media after announcing her 2025 world tour. Amid the excitement, a user on X shared an image claiming that 50 million people were in line to buy concert tickets. After many reshared the post, the user clarified that she was "joking."

In response, X added a community note below the viral post, stating:

“A fan account admitted it was a joke and there were in fact 50k people in queue to buy tickets."

Furthermore, Lipa’s 2025 tour comes in right after she released her third studio album, by the same name, on May 3, 2024. The album has 15 tracks, along with 11 extended versions. A few songs from the album that became popular as soon as they dropped are Houdini, Training Season, Illusion, Maria, Happy for You, Dance the Night and even Falling Forever.

A week ago, Dua Lipa announced her tour details on Instagram. She will perform in Australia and New Zealand from March 20 to April 2, 2025, before moving to Europe. From May 11 to June 27, she will perform in several European countries, including Spain, France, the UK, the Netherlands, and Ireland.

Lipa will also perform in Canada, and then in various cities of the United States of America, till October 16, 2025. While the tickets continue to sell on various platforms, the news about 50 million people trying to buy tickets for her Madrid concert was fake and misleading.
