A recent viral photo circulating on social media claiming that international superstar Beyoncé sent a bouquet of white flowers to Vice President Kamala Harris to pledge her support has been debunked. The image has garnered hundreds of shares, sparked widespread discussion, and is confirmed to be fabricated.
On July 22, 2024, a user on X (formerly Twitter) shared an image of a flower bouquet addressed to Harris. The photo in question shows an elaborate arrangement of white flowers alongside a card purportedly signed by Beyoncé, expressing her admiration and support for Vice President Harris.
However, it is to be noted that the picture was edited to look like an endorsement for the Vice President. The bouquet along with the note was originally sent to singer Miley Cyrus in March 2024, thanking her for the latest collaboration on II MOST WANTED.
Meanwhile, endorsement claims are emerging as Kamala Harris was recently nominated for the president candidacy by the current President, Joe Biden. This nomination reflects President Biden's support for Harris, as he stepped back from the race for re-election.
Beyoncé did not send white flowers to Kamala Harris pledging her support
As the edited post started making around the internet, netizens came forward to clear the air. Claiming that Beyoncé did not vow her support or send Harris the flowers. The edited image in question reads:
"Kamala, thank you for choosing to lead in a time of great uncertainty, believing in what can be, unburdened by what has been. We stand with you. Love, B."
However, the original picture shared by a netizen with username @MelissaEnchant on X suggested that those flowers were for Miley Cyrus. In the note, Beyoncé thanked fellow artists for their recent collaboration, II MOST WANTED. The flowers were sent shortly after the release of the song. The original note with the bouquet reads:
"Miley, thank you for making this song even more special. I hope you have an amazing day! Send love and hugs. Love, B."
Queen Bey is known for celebrating her friends, family, and fellow artists with congratulatory flowers. Over the years, she has usually sent white flowers to many celebrities, including Andra Day, Katie Couric, Nicki Minaj, Jack White, Megan Thee Stallion, and more.
Most recently, in 2024, Beyoncé sent congratulatory gestures to peers such as Victoria Monét on her 2024 Coachella performance and Tyla for her self-titled album, also acknowledging Zoë Erianna's talent. Moreover, she sent to Coach Dawn Staley and The South Carolina Gamecocks following their 2024 NCAA win. Bey praised Reneé Rapp, SZA, Coco Jones, and much more.
Numerous celebrities have publicly expressed their well-wishes regarding the congratulatory messages to Kamala Harris. However, Beyoncé has not yet issued a statement or congratulatory message.
