Amid the untimely death of former One Direction member Liam Payne, many speculations have started circulating across the internet. Further, a video of Liam singing a Spanish song went viral after a user (@yankisner) shared the same on X.
The X user initially claimed that the video was captured the night before Liam died after falling from his third-floor hotel room balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The caption of the now-viral post read:
"The fact that this was recorded last night and Liam Payne was singing a Spanish song to his fan, it’s so sad. You can see he is smiling with lost eyes! Rest in peace, angel."
As soon as the clip surfaced online, it went viral. As of now, it has already been viewed more than 7 million times and reposted over 8.4K times. Subsequently, the late singer's fans expressed their feelings after watching the video, which was rumored to have been taken the night before his death.
However, the time frame of the footage is untrue, as the video was captured on September 30. This was further clarified by @yankisner in a follow-up tweet, where the user mentioned:
"Hey guys, this video went viral on TikTok today and I thought it was taken yesterday because of the comment section, but it’s from September 30th."
The same has also been clarified in the community notes of the viral post, where the link to the original September video has been attached.
