A tweet claiming that Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown was arrested at Sabrina Carpenter's 'Short n' Sweet Tour' went viral on X. Brown was seen at the singer's Atlanta show on October 22, 2024.

The tweet, posted on X by user @ShortnSweetTour, amassed over 1.3 million views and 86K likes at the time of this article.

The post understandably left many confused due to its wording. Several people wondered if Brown had a run-in with law enforcement during the concert. However, this is far from the truth, as the "arrest" is part of a running gag in Carpenter's shows. At each concert, Sabrina Carpenter selects a concertgoer and "arrests" them for being "too hot."

Brown was Carpenter's latest pick during her Atlanta show at State Farm Arena. The singer announced she had spotted “this gorgeous girl” and fallen in love with her. Sabrina Carpenter also playfully pretended to recognize Brown, prompting the latter to scream her name.

“Millie, I’ve never fallen in love at a concert before, but stranger things have happened. It’s so unfortunate we have to arrest you because you’re so beautiful. That sucks," Carpenter said.

Sabrina Carpenter also did a mini outfit change on stage, swapping her skirt for a shorter skirt while saying that her clothes "were embarrassed" on spotting Brown. She then gave the actress a pair of handcuffs to wear when Brown said, "Please arrest me."

Sabrina Carpenter's next show is in Orlando

The Expresso songstress will next perform at the Kia Center in Orlando on October 24. The singer, who began her 'Short n' Sweet Tour' in September, will wrap up the American leg at Kia Forum on November 18.

The singer will take her tour internationally in March 2025, performing in the UK and Europe. The 19-song setlist will see the artist perform most songs from her sixth studio album, Short n' Sweet, as well as a few songs from her older projects.

Sabrina Carpenter was recently featured on TIME Magazine's "TIME100 Next" list, where she opened up about her previous albums, her femininity, and her costumes on stage during the show.

She added that she sometimes gets criticized for how she dresses during her concerts. However, Carpenter explained that her dressing style makes her feel comfortable when she performs on stage in front of a huge crowd:

"You'll still get the occasional mother that has a strong opinion on how you should be dressing. And to that I just say, don't come to the show and that’s OK. It's unfortunate that it's ever been something to criticize, because truthfully, the scariest thing in the world is getting up on a stage in front of that many people and having to perform as if it's nothing."

She continued:

"If the one thing that helps you do that is the way you feel comfortable dressing, then that's what you’ve got to do.”

In other news, Millie Bobby Brown is in Atlanta for the filming of Stranger Things season five. The final season of the hit Netflix show is expected to be released in 2025. The Terminator star Linda Hamilton is set to join the original cast of the show. However, her character has yet to be disclosed.
