On September 12, a report by SpaceX Fanclub on Facebook claimed Taylor Swift lost $125 million in brand deals after endorsing Kamala Harris for president.

However, the claim is false as the page clarified in the caption, "This is Satire". A label on the top left corner of the picture also read, "Rated Satire". Furthermore, SpaceX Fanclub's bio Facebook bio mentioned that the page only contains satirical posts, none of which are real.

Following the 2024 presidential debate on September 10, Taylor Swift shared a long message on Instagram, explaining why she chose to openly declare her endorsement. Taylor addressed the recently viral AI images of her falsely purporting to support Trump in this election season. She reasoned the only way to "combat misinformation" was by speaking her truth.

"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them," she wrote.

Taylor told fans her decision was led by her own research and encouraged others to conduct their own based on what "stances" each presidential candidate holds regarding the current issues.

Taylor Swift's Kamala Harris endorsement did not result in losing $125 million worth of brand deals

Apart from SpaceX Fanclub's viral Facebook post, their subsidiary Esspots published a detailed article on the claim about Swift losing expensive brand collaborations. The article, published on September 12, tagged the story as 'satire' before elaborating on their report.

However, Taylor Swift's supposed "Big Endorsement" which led her to reportedly lose brand deals worth $125 million, is "a vegan cryptocurrency backed by none other than Elon Musk's second cousin", as written by Esspots. The article added:

"This crypto is the future, and honestly, we need to save the planet—and our portfolios."

Thus, the cover image containing Kamala Harris' picture alongside Taylor is also misleading. Esspots humorously wrote in an unexpected turn of events:

"Big brands that had signed lucrative deals with the pop star suddenly had second thoughts. After all, a vegan cryptocurrency? Backed by Musk’s cousin? It was just too weird, even for Swift."

The article seemingly took a dig at Taylor's reported excessive use of private jets that many environmental activists and previously criticized. Esspots satirically wrote that a luxury car brand chose to cut ties with the singer, reasoning:

"But associating our high-end, gas-guzzling vehicles with vegan cryptocurrency? That’s a no from us."

According to the article, CoverGirl, Diet Coke, and a "high-end jewelry brand", also canceled their deals with the Grammy winner, following her supposed support for a "vegan cryptocurrency".

Needless to say, all of these claims are fabricated as Esspots informed readers on their 'About Us' page of the satirical nature of anything and everything published on the website.

Thus, the report about Taylor Swift losing brand deals worth $125 million is also false.
