Fact Check: Is Peewee Longway in the hospital fighting for his life? All about the rapper as he debunks viral post

Recently, the news of rapper Peewee Longway being in the hospital went viral and garnered a lot of reactions from his fans. This happened after a Facebook post, uploaded on September 6, claiming the same went public. The post included an image which read,

“Breaking @peeweelongway Is Currently in the hospital fighting for his life he allegedly was on the same drug as richhomiequan”.

The caption of the post further read,

“PEEWEE LONGWAY IN THE HOSPITAL LAWD WHAT IS GOING ON.”

Nevertheless, this post is a fake one. Peewee Longway is not struggling for his life in a hospital. Rather, he is well and living. Soon after the fake news went viral, the rapper took to his official Instagram to debunk the whole thing on September 6.

Details about Peewee Longway as the rapper’s fake hospital news garnered netizens’ concern

Rapper Quincy Williams, popularly known as Peewee Longway, is from the United States. He is 40 years old and was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 17, 1984.

He is well known for his 2013 single Loaded featuring Young Thug and his 2014 mixtape The Blue M&M, which included the hits Sneakin n Geekin and Servin Lean. After he was introduced to Gucci Mane by his uncle Cold Blooded Da Don, he signed a record deal with his record label known as 1017 Records.

He then joined the rap trio Felix Brothers, which also included Young Dolph and Gucci Mane. His well-known studio albums are Mr. Blue Benjamin, which was published digitally on January 29, 2016, under the MPA BandCamp label, and Long Money, which was released on October 4, 2019, via the Black Circle, MPA BandCamp, and Empire labels alongside Money Man.

Money, Pounds, Ammunition, his debut mixtape featuring Gucci Mane, was released in March 2013. In the same year, he released two more mixtapes, Lobby Runners with various musicians and Running Around The Lobby featuring Hoodrich Keem & DJ Scream.

The rapper also has several other mixtapes with multiple artists. For example, World War 3D: The White Album, with Gucci Mane, Felix Brothers with Gucci Mane and Young Dolph, BagMen, with Young Dolph, and Longway Sinatra with Cassius Jay. His 2014 release Longway Sinatra later peaked at number 66 on the Billboard 200 chart.

He has also created many single tracks for which he worked as a lead artist. Some examples of the singles are Servin' Lean, featuring A$AP Rocky for his album Running Around the Lobby; Know Bout Me, featuring Young Thug and Offset, for his 2014 album Mr. Blue Benjamin, and Jackie Tan, featuring Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J, for Mr. Blue Benjamin.

Additionally, he also appeared as a featured singer in many songs of other artists like Gucci Mane’s Time To Get Paid, Low Pros’ Frankie Lymon and Jack Tripper, Lil Tommy’s Him or Me, and NBA YoungBoy’s Wat Chu Gone Do.

Recently, fake news of the rapper being in the hospital fighting for his life garnered a lot of concern from the netizens. However, the rapper himself immediately debunked it. Additionally, podcaster and media mogul Big Homie Kodaq further debunked the claims on September 6 on X, writing,

"Peewee Longway is NOT in the hospital fighting for his life. Stop spreading rumors for the sake of going viral."

However, this all started with the Facebook post, which claimed that the rapper was on his deathbed due to his alleged drug addiction. After this, many internet users took to the comment section of the post to pray for his health. Many netizens urged him to stop taking drugs.

Nevertheless, Peewee Longway later took to his official social media account to debunk the claims. On the other hand, no one knows what gave rise to this rumor.
