On September 27, 2024, multiple X users especially pages like Rap House TV tweeted that rapper Skrilla was reportedly shot in Chicago. This tweet garnered a lot of attention and led to more rumors surrounding the rapper getting shot wherein an X user @BogdanAmr alleged in his tweet on September 28, 2024:

"Skrilla gets shot in Chicago while in Bloodhound territory chilling with Bloodhound Q50 and Brandon Buckingham! They were filming a vlog! The shooter got shot in the head!"

Additionally, the HipHop Lately portal also published that the musical artist was shot in his neck while leaving a studio on the Northwest end of the town. The report claimed that the rapper was ambushed by five to six men who jumped out of a vehicle and began to open fire, after which he was in critical condition.

Putting such rumors to rest and showcasing he wasn't shot, the Curtis Jackson rapper came live on Instagram on September 28, 2024, giving his fans a glimpse of himself vibing to music in the company of his friends. Moreover, the rapper also posted a photo of himself on his Instagram story on the same day attaching his track GOD DAMN to the same.

In addition to coming live on Instagram on September 28, 2024, Skrilla posted a music video of his track Resident in collaboration with ETS Films. Apart from the MV, the post also featured behind-the-scenes footage. The timeline of the post confirmed that the rapper wasn't shot.
