Snoop Dogg seems to be having the best time of his life at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which began on July 26. From carrying the torch through Saint Dennis Street to commentating as NBC's correspondent, the rapper has become the center of the ongoing Olympics.

Snoop is one of the 11,000 lucky individuals to receive the honor of carrying the Olympic flame forward to the cauldron at Jardins du Trocadéro Stadium. The games officially commenced after the cauldron lighting ceremony last Friday, and Snoop switched to cheerleading mode in support of Team US.

Snoop donned custom t-shirts featuring portraits of Team US players. The rapper also switched jobs temporarily as the NBC's special correspondent. He was busy sharing his iconic light-hearted commentary during and after Team US games.

Snoop Dogg shared his Olympic torch-carrying experience with NBC on July 26:

“I felt like Muhammad Ali. I found out that when you hold the torch, you’re a peace messenger.”

The rapper added:

“I was waving, shaking hands, kissing the babies — doing what I do, you understand me? Putting my foot in the pavement, letting the people know that we’re here. We’re here for peace, love, unity and great sportsmanship.”

Snoop Dogg’s remarkable moments at the 2024 Paris Olympics so far

Snoop Dogg added a fun touch to the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics and kept both the audience and the players entertained. The rapper went all-out fanboying for the Team US athletes and could be seen cheering and dancing at their wins.

While he will continue to do something iconic every day, here are some of the best moments from Snoop at the 2024 Paris Olympics:

1) Snoop helped carry the Olympic torch

Snoop Dogg was proud to be honored with the torch-bearing responsibility on July 26. The rapper grooved through Saint Dennis Street as he helped carry the torch forward.

2) He celebrated Team US's first gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics

Snoop was seemingly overjoyed to see Team US secure the first gold medal on July 27. The swimming team secured the first 2024 Paris Olympics gold in the 4x100 freestyle relay with a time of 3:09:28. The squad comprised Caeleb Dressel, Jack Alexy, Chris Giuliano, and Hunter Armstrong.

Dressel's wife, who witnessed the team's victory, high-fived Snoop to share the joy.

3) He got emotional for The Star-Spangled Banner

Snoop Dogg was seen honoring the United States national anthem with his eyes closed after Team US bagged its first gold on July 27. The rapper later told NBC primtime host, Mike Tirico:

"'The Star-Spangled Banner' — there's something emotional about that song and being there with all those Americans. And being with the family, I felt like part of the family."

4) The rapper cheered Team US players with t-shirts featuring portraits

Snoop's charisma is unmatchable but this time, he took it up a notch when he styled custom t-shirts to cheer the players. At the time of publishing the article, the rapper's t-shirts featured the Volleyball team's aces Sara Hughes and Kelly Cheng, and the tennis star Coco Gauff. The US team's decorated gymnast, Simone Biles, was also featured on Snoop's t-shirt.

5) Simone Biles' mom trolled Snoop

Snoop Dogg found himself out for words on July 27, when Simon Biles' mom, Nellie Biles, reminded him of a not-so-sweet past encounter. Mrs. Nellie reminded Snoop of the 2010 encounter, where the rapper promised a picture in two minutes, but disappeared soon after.

The rapper couldn't help but laugh at Nellie's sarcastic dig.

6) The rapper created a custom pin for Coco Gauff

Snoop Dogg cheered the Team US tennis star, Coco Gauff, with a custom pin. It featured Snoop, blowing five smoke rings resembling the Olympic rings next to the Effiel Tower. Coco Gauff was eliminated from the tennis singles this Tuesday. She and her teammate, Jessica Pegula, were also put out of the gold medal race when they lost in the tennis doubles on Wednesday.

7) He commentated for NBC as a special correspondent

At the global sports event, the rapper was given the responsibility of a special correspondent by NBC. He interviewed the families of the Team US participants to uncover what drove them toward victory.

Snoop Dogg will continue cheering for Team US and entertaining the audience at the 2024 Paris Olympics for over two more weeks. Readers must note that the Olympics are set to end on August 11.
