She is the wealthiest and most popular female rapper, with the highest Instagram following of all rappers.

When it comes to collaborations, Nicki Minaj has a history of successful records. Over the years, the Super Freaky Girl rapper has collaborated with the biggest names in the music industry, including both singers and rappers.

Released in August 2011, Fly was a collaborative song with Rihanna and part Nicki Minaj's debut studio album, Pink Friday. It focuses on overcoming all stereotypes and emerging victorious.

The track, which peaked at number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100, was a manifestation of Minaj's desire to work with the Umbrella singer. The rapper wrote about it in a Facebook post uploaded on November 13, 2010, writing:

"I wanted to work with Rihanna for a long time. I'm very proud of her accomplishments, especially since she was born on an island like me."

The rapper also called it one of her "absolute faves" from the album. The music video has 195 million views on YouTube.


Bang Bang - with Jessie J and Ariana Grande (2014)

Bang Bang, which peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, was on the track list of Jessie J's and Ariana Grande's albums - Sweet Talker and My Everything, respectively. It was originally a Jessie J song, with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj featuring on it.

Talking about the track on Capital FM in July 2014, Jessie J said:

"It was like a real females, come together, empowering, supportive [vibe], and then Nicki jumping on it was like the icing on the cake."

The Bang Bang music video has over two billion views on YouTube.


Barbie World - with Ice Spice (2023)

One of the more recent Nicki Minaj collaborations, Barbie World, was released in June 2023 as part of the soundtrack of Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie. The track peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the highest-charting track from the movie.

Talking about the song's creation process in the movie's pink carpet with Ice Spice, Minaj said:

"There were a couple songs that I didn't love. This 'Barbie' sample, I loved it. I just wanted it to have a dope drum, and so the one that they sent me, I loved! And I jumped on it right away."

As someone who has always related to Barbie - and even called her fans Barbz - featuring in the track was a "full circle moment" for Nicki Minaj. Barbie World's music track has over 154 million views on YouTube.


Swish Swish - with Katy Perry (2017)

Swish Swish - a track from Katy Perry's fifth studio album - Witness - was released in May 2017. The singer addresses her bullies and detractors in the song, using Basketball metaphors. Its music video opens on a basketball court, where Perry appears to be losing the match.

Nicki Minaj's verse in the song allegedly addresses her beef with Remy Ma when she says:

"Silly beef raps just get me more checks."

The Swish Swish music video has over 689 million views on YouTube.


Turn Me On - with David Guetta (2011)

Released in December 2011, Turn Me On is the first collaboration of David Guetta and Nicki Minaj. The song was an immediate success, peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.

A part of Guetta's fifth studio album, the song was included in the deluxe version of Minaj's Roman Reloaded album. In a Billboard interview, Guetta said about Minaj's part of the song:

"I am so proud of what [Nicki] did on this record because we know her for those crazy raps but the other record that we have, she is singing, like—oh man. The world is gonna be shocked. Because they don't know her like this. And we came up with that amazing song and she just killed it."

The music video for Turn Me On amassed over 407 million views on YouTube.


Woman Like Me - with Little Mix (2018)

The first and only collaboration between Nicki Minaj and the British girl group Little Mix, Woman Like Me, raises the question of whether a man can fall in love with a woman who isn't the stereotypical "good girl."

Released in October 2018, the track reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and was included in the band's fifth studio album, LM5. Its music video has over 369 million views on YouTube.


Side to Side - with Ariana Grande (2016)

Side to Side is arguably the most sensational of Nicki Minaj's collaborations. Released in August 2016, it was part of Ariana Grande's third studio album, Dangerous Woman. It peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.

In the music video, Grande rides a stationary bike with a crowd of women behind her doing the same. Minaj's verse in the track is filmed in a sauna, where both artists are in swimsuits while surrounded by Ken-sized dolls. Nicki signs out of her rap, saying:

"I'm the queen of rap, young Ariana run pop."

To this day, the Side to Side music video remains the most-watched YouTube video of both Grande and Nicki Minaj.


Beauty and A Beat - with Justin Beiber (2012)

Released in October 2012, Beauty and a Beat was part of Justin Beiber's third studio album, Believe. It is a classic party song that witnessed Beiber eager to take his woman to a club where they could party like "it was 3012."

Talking to Rap-Up about his album, Bieber brought up his collaboration with Nicki, saying:

"I wanted a female rapper and I think that she is the best choice. I felt she just fit on the song perfectly."

The Beauty and a Beat music video has amassed over 1.1 billion views on YouTube.
