The long wait for an Oasis reunion is finally over. On August 27, the band took to their X handle to announce that they will tour the UK and Ireland in the summer of 2025. The Gallagher brothers will share the stage in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
However, the post did not mention the complete lineup for the upcoming reunion tour. Sharing a picture of the Gallagher brothers, the band released a statement saying,
“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
According to an NME report, there could be chances for Oasis to headline the Glastonbury Festival, which will be held from June 25 to 29, 2025, before they begin the reunion tour. However, there is no mention of Glastonbury on any of their posts, as the above-mentioned locations will have the only shows next year. The official website also stated that the band planned to stretch their tour to continents outside Europe next year.
Supporting artists that fans speculate to be a part of Oasis’ 2025 reunion tour
Fans have been speculating about other supporting artists and bands that might have performances during the band’s reunion tour. However, these are just fan speculations, as no official information has been given yet.
1. Kasabian
On August 26, former Oasis guitarist Paul Arthurs posted a photo with Kasabian’s Serge Pizzorno. Moreover, the post came at a time when the reunion tour was teased by the Gallagher brothers. As a result, fans speculated that Kasabian could also be a part of the tour. A fake poster of the possible lineup including Kasabian’s name also circulated on X.
“Fantasy Oasis support acts for next year. I am going. Cast Ocean Colour Scene Kasabian A reformed The Verve,” a person tweeted on X.
2. Blossoms
English rock band Blossoms shared the same teaser during their performance at Wythenshawe Park. The band also performed Oasis’s Half The World Away. Reportedly, this led many fans to speculate that the band would be a part of the upcoming tour.
“Blossoms, Fender, kasabian, black keys,” a netizen commented.
3. The Lottery Winners
As much as fans are excited about the reunion tour, they are equally eager to have The Lottery Winners as one of the supporting gigs. The band took to their X on August 27 and wrote that their phone kept buzzing throughout the day with people asking whether they would be a part of the line-up. Although official confirmation is yet to be out, the band is ready for ‘little opening slot’.
“The AMOUNT of people asking if we’re supporting Oasis today is MAD. Literally my phone hasn’t stopped all day. Glad that people think we’re at that level. We’re not (yet), but we’d be up for a little opening slot @SJMConcerts,” the Lottery Winners posted on X.
4. The K’s
The band performed at Reading and Leeds this year, and their debut album stands at number 3 on the official charts. However, when it comes to the fans, they can’t seem to get away with the idea of having The K’s perform at the Oasis reunion. Netizens want the band to be included along with other newer bands during the reunion tour.
“Think Kasabian, the Black Keys and a couple of newer bands i.e. Pastel, The K’s, would love Richard Ashcroft and OCS,” a person commented on X.
5. Manic Street Preachers
Reportedly, this rock band had been a strong support during Oasis’s Knebworth 1995 shows. Manic Street Preachers also shared a clip of their upcoming music on social media, and they are likely to tour in 2025. Fans look forward to having the band on the reunion tour.
“For me it’s gotta be some new bands that are following in there footsteps preferably Manc based, Lathums, K’s etc. With maybe a legend like the Manics alongside them,” wrote one person on X.
Fans also speculate Sam Fender and Fontaines DC to be a part of the tour. NME wrote that reportedly no other original band members will be joining the reunion tour. Oasis split up in 2009 following a backstage fight between the Gallagher brothers.
