Future and Metro Boomin were scheduled to perform in Milwaukee, Nashville, and several other cities in the US as part of their We Trust You tour. However, according to reports online, several dates of the tour have been canceled due to what is being reported as low ticket sales.

The canceled Future and Metro Boomin shows are as follows:

  • August 2, 2024 - Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Fiserv Forum
  • August 6, 2024 - Nashville, Tennessee at Bridgestone Arena
  • August 10, 2024 - Columbus, Ohio at Schottenstein Center
  • August 20, 2024 - New Orleans, Louisiana at Smoothie King Center
  • August 25, 2024 - Tulsa, Oklahoma at BOK Center

More on Future and Metro Boomin's canceled tour dates

As mentioned before, no official reason as to why the shows have been canceled has been provided by Future, Metro Boomin, or their representatives. Neither has any venue representative come forward to offer an explanation.

However, according to ticket sales data collected by the website Touring Data, the ticket sales for the Future and Metro Boomin tour are currently below the 50% mark. Such ticket sales figures, if accurate, would suggest that the duo are following the trend of artists pulling out of tour shows due to poor sales.

Among the artists previously reported to have canceled shows due to poor ticket sales include names such as Jennifer Lopez, The Wallows, The Black Keys, Troye Sivan, Bad Bunny, and more.

One of the contributing factors is the number of artists who are currently on tour. The pandemic acted like a pressure valve, completely halting a lot of events and stifling millions of people's desire to experience live music. Thus post pandemic, there was a rush for both people and musicians alike to be part of live music events.

Now the demand is slowing down with people experiencing the impact of a the economic inflation but the number of artists on tour has not gone down with it. Another factor related to inflation is ticket costs, which have gone up significantly in recent years, with an average major performer's tickets likely to cost a few hundred dollars and the base average price increasing to $120.
