G Herbo was recently sued by a law firm named Prince Lobel Tye earlier this week on contract breach and unjust enrichment charges. The firm reportedly helped Herbo with his multiple legal issues over the years and the legal documents claimed that his payments to the law firm are pending.
Herbo has gained recognition for albums such as Humble Beast. He even made guest appearances on the songs of artists such as Nicki Minaj and his net worth stands at $3 million, as per CelebrityNetWorth.
Notably, he was sentenced to probation for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and discontinued the payments a few weeks before the verdict was out. As per AllHipHop, the lawsuit allegedly stated that he has yet to pay an amount of $237,582.67 alongside an interest worth $26,542.85 to the law firm.
Furthermore, Prince Lobel has been reportedly seeking 1.2% interest per month since the time G Herbo stopped paying them. The company said that they decided to represent Herbo since he was supposed to pay without fail.
G Herbo has accumulated a lot of wealth from his rapping career: Successful projects and other details
Herbert Randall Wright III, known as G Herbo, has built a large fanbase over his decade-long music career, collaborating with various record labels such as Republic and 808 Mafia. His successful albums have significantly contributed to his earnings, and he appeared in the documentary Juice Wrld: Into the Abyss.
In an interview with Source magazine in 2014, Herbo shared that he began listening to music at a young age. He recalled the time he spent with his uncle, calling the latter a major influence, and said:
"I just looked up to him like my uncle. I was around him a lot. I held the upmost respect for him. Then I started rapping, it was a coincidence. I just kept going hard at it, you know? That's what he would've wanted anyways."
The Chicago, Illinois native's first album, Humble Beast, was released back in 2017 and managed to reach the 21st spot on the US Billboard 200. This was followed by four more albums alongside various mixtapes and EPs. He even joined Southside for an album titled Swervo.
He has multiple singles in his credits such as Red Snow, Yeah I Know, Focused, Take Me Away, and Back On Tour.
G Herbo celebrates the release of his sixth album
Herbo's latest project Big Swerv came out on September 6, 2024, and a private listening party was sponsored in Chicago by sparkling rose company Luc Belaire a few days later. G Herbo also appeared at the event and said:
"I'm excited. It feels like there's a weight off my shoulder. I'm just happy to get back to work because I feel like I went on a hiatus for like a year, sorting certain issues out and getting my life together."
Herbo also said that he wishes to feel like a star through the album where he would have the resources to do anything he wants to. He added that it took a long time for him to reach the position where he is today and he feels like the "world is in the palms of my hands."
Multiple faces from the world of hip-hop such as Mello Buckz and Chance the Rapper were invited to the place. An open bar was also available for the attendees and they even bought the artist's merch including T-shirts, sweatpants, shorts, and hats.
