On December 17, 2024, USA Today reported that Megan Thee Stallion filed for a temporary restraining order against Tory Lanez in Los Angeles County Superior Court, also naming vlogger Milagro.
Independent reporter Meghann Cuniff revealed that Megan's lawyers presented Zelle records showing Tory Lanez's father paying vlogger Milagro Gramz.
Cuniff's tweet mentioned:
"Megan's lawyers also obtained Zelle records that show Lanez's father, Sonstar Carlisle John Peterson, paid Milagro $3,000 between Oct. 28, 2020 and March 3, 2022, in six payments between $200 and $1,000."
XXL Magazine tweeted news of Stallion's restraining order request mentioning that Milagro was sued "for posting deepfake porn of the rapper" on December 18, 2024, and Milagro responded to the magazine's post via a series of tweets. Stating that XXL Magazine's claims were fully correct, Milagro tweeted:
"They're so ready to get this out that they're speaking out of turn. I'm not being sued for posting deepfake porn. The paperwork clearly states I did not create nor post the video. That would make this tweet what?"
A compilation of Milagro's tweets was posted by Instagram page @theshaderoom and internet users quickly reacted to the same. Commenting on the amount Milagro reportedly took from Tory Lanez's father to allegedly defame Megan Thee Stallion a netizen said:
"Girl you did all that slander for 3k?!? Keep Tory locked up😂😂😂"
Additionally, some internet users took digs at Milagro by questioning who she was:
Netizens also addressed Milagro's tweet's stating she was being sued by Stallion for spreading lies:
"This possibility alone causes Ms. Pete severe emotional distress" — Megan Thee Stallion files restraining order request against Tory Lanez
Megan Thee Stallion's attorney, Mari Fagel Henderson, claimed in a restraining order request that Tory Lanez uses third-party bloggers, including Milagro, to harass her.
Henderson alleged these bloggers were hired by Lanez to spread defamatory statements. In October 2024, Megan sued Milagro Cooper for emotional distress, cyberstalking, and sharing deepfake pornography of her.
Megan Thee Stallion's restraining order request reads:
"Most concerning is that if Ms. Pete is not issued at least (a) civil harassment restraining order, she will be left without any protection for when Mr. Peterson is released from prison. This possibility alone causes Ms. Pete severe emotional distress and makes her fearful for her life."
The request demands that Tory Lanez stay at least 100 yards away from Megan Thee Stallion and her home, place of work, and vehicle. The rapper also asked the court to order Lanez not to contact her either directly or indirectly, and put an end to his reported online harassment,
In August 2023, Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot in 2020. In December 2022, Lanez was found guilty of three felonies concerning the shooting which included discharging a firearm with gross negligence, assault with a semiautomatic firearm; and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
