On October 2, 2024, Mariah Carey posted a video on Instagram from a private jet, seemingly hinting to her fans that there is still time for her Christmas performance of the classic track All I Want for Christmas. In the video, the pilot announces that they're heading to the North Pole, to which Mariah responds by saying:

“Not yet!. Sorry! They always rush me.”

Mariah's video garnered a lot of traction on the internet, and users were quick to react to the same via X. Commenting on the people rushing the singer to perform her holiday track sooner, an X user tweeted:

"Give this girl a break it’s not even November"

Several X users humorously acknowledged Mariah Carey's reminder to delay Christmas celebrations, with one emphasizing her iconic status as the "Queen of Christmas."

"Mariah Carey reminding everyone to pump the brakes on Christmas celebrations is iconic. She's the Queen of Christmas, but even she knows there’s a time and place. Let her enjoy spooky season first—then we can talk about "All I Want for Christmas"!" an X user stated.
"The queen of Christmas has spoken!" another X user mentioned.
"Ok girl but come back on November 1st at exactly 12:00am because stockings will be getting hung" an internet user addressed Mariah.

However, some internet users commented on the singer having only one song to promote:

"girl you don’t put anything out the whole year, this is the only time we NEED you to show up!!!!" an X user mentioned
"When you have that one song to feed you for the rest of your life. Goals" another X user said
"this girl so greedy for promoting a 30 year old song" an internet user remarked

Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You is the first Diamond certified holiday song

Every year, fans of Mariah Carey and Christmas enthusiasts await the singer's All I Want for Christmas is You, a song Mariah released in her album Merry Christmas in 1994.

According to AP News, in 2023, 16-time Grammy winner, composer, and producer David Foster commented on Mariah's Christmas track and mentioned:

“That song is just embedded in history now. It’s embedded in Christmas. When you think of Christmas right now, you think of that song.”

Moreover, on December 3, 2021, Mariah's track All I Want for Christmas became the first holiday song to be certified Diamond by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). A song is given the diamond certification when it sells 10 million units.

Additionally, in August 2024, Mariah Carey announced that she would be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the song and the Merry Christmas album with a 20-city tour in the fall which will be called "Mariah Carey’s Christmas Time.”

Produced by Live Nation, the tour will begin on November 6, 2024, at Highland's Yaamava Theater and will end on December 17, 2024, at the Barclay's Center, Brooklyn.

In 2022, Mariah Carey broke another record with All I Want for Christmas is You as the song stayed on the top position of the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks. This achievement resulted in Mariah becoming the first woman to have three songs secure the number one position for double-digit weeks.

Additionally, she was also the third artist on the same list led by Boyz II Men and Drake.

While Mariah Carey's Christmas track did not make it to the top position on the Billboard chart till 2019, the song acquired the No. 1 position every year post 2019, which is 20 years after it was first released.
