Real Atlanta artist Akbar V took to X on August 6, 2024, and commented about people voting for Kamala Harris owing to her Black ethnicity. In her tweet, the singer asked internet users to be honest and questioned them on voting for Harris owing to her ethnicity.
Akbar stated:
"Tell The truth ... to be honest my honest opinion her or @JoeBiden haven't done anything for us black folks so y would yall go so hard for her for me to be democrat i need another candidate I'm sorry yall ion see no change ..."
Internet users were quick to respond to Akbar V's statement on Kamala Harris' ethnicity alleging that it was the only reason people were voting for her. One of the internet users responded to Akbar's statement and mentioned:
"Akbar go do some real research. They’ve done a lot."
"Girl you sound dumb as f**k. Just say you don’t pay attention to politics instead of just saying this bulls**t. Biden has forgiven student loan debt, put a cap on prescriptions, gave more money to HBCUs, etc. What did Donald Trump do for Black people when he was in office?" another internet user questioned.
"I always see you post crazy s**t but this was the last straw. do your research. Yall be quick to speak on politics and be loud and wrong and can’t name one proposed policy. Do your research. using your platform for some bs" an X user mentioned.
Additionally, some internet users questioned Akbar V's stance by comparing Harris to Donald Trump's efforts for Black people:
"Girl this not time be sharing s**t like this I don’t why some of y’all think only voting for her cause she black no she only better option. What the f**k have Trump done for Black people please don’t be dumb girl," an X user tweeted.
"So what did Trump and the rest b4 the black woman do for black ppl," another X user tweeted.
Akbar V comments on never working with Cardi B
Akbar V's feud with Cardi B comes up again as the two often indulge in indirect back and forth with one another. During Akbar's recent appearance on the Aunt-Tea podcast on August 5, 2024, podcast host Tokyo Toni asked her if she would indulge in a rap battle with Cardi B, to which the Real Atlanta rapper replied with a strong no.
Continuing her answer, Akbar V said that people often ask why "rap girls" don't get along but they never ask why men in the rap arena don't get along, shutting down further questions related to Cardi B.
While Akbar didn't engage in criticizing Cardi B or expressing her hatred for the rapper during the podcast, she previously accused Cardi of ordering an attack on her. According to HipHop DX, Akbar went on a night out on April 29, 2024, wherein a woman hit her from behind multiple times and the rapper fell on the ground.
The Owe Me Something singer took to X on May 2, 2024, and called out Cardi B, accusing the rapper of ordering an attack on her. In her tweet, Akbar mentioned:
“@iamcardib and u p***y b***h u send h**s who ain’t even stepping fr that little s**t u doing didn’t move me p***y h** come harder u botched face b***h.”
Cardi B did not reply to Akbar V's tweet or comment on the situation via her social media page or publications.
In other news, in an instance from August 2023, Akbar V reportedly posted a story wherein she talked about how the economy flourished during Trump's presidency and stated "I'm voting for Trump..Y'all can kiss my a**."
