Marcy Blum shared that she told JLo that she had worked with Bruno Mars on another wedding event wherein Mars received $5 million to perform for 45 minutes to an hour. According to Blum, the reaction Jennifer Lopez gave at that time was:
"Don’t be ridiculous!"
Marcy Blum added that she could discuss the incident as she hadn't signed an NDA with Lopez or Rodriguez. Videos of Marcy Blum's podcast appearance and Jeniffer Lopez's instance have gone viral on the internet and internet users took to X to express their opinions on the same.
Commenting on the couple not making it to marriage and breaking their engagement in 2021 and Bruno Mars quoting $5 million to perform at their wedding, an X user tweeted:
"He knew they weren’t going to last 🤭"
"Maybe that's a polite way of celebrities saying no each other?" an X user commented.
"I am with Bruno on this one !! You’re not just paying for a performance; you’re paying for the experience !! Not to mention, JLo collects ceremonies like Grammys !!" another X user mentioned.
"Honestly, if anyone could pull off a $5 million performance, it’s Bruno Mars! J-Lo’s wedding would’ve been unforgettable!" an internet user stated.
Additionally, netizens commented on how the amount reportedly quoted by Bruno Mars should've been affordable for JLo:
"so they both couldn’t afford bruno to perform? LMAOOO," an X user tweeted.
"Really crazy when she has a net worth $400 million $5 million is light for for somebody with that much money especially for a perfomer like Bruno Mars," a netizen commented.
