Lil Durk's son allegedly shot his stepfather Joshua Pippens in the stomach after a domestic dispute on July 1. According to a video shared on Instagram by Pippens on Sunday, July 7, Durk's alleged 10-year-old son shot him after he had an altercation with the kid's mother. Pippens also explained his side of the story in several Instagram stories.
He wrote—
"I never in a million years thought a kid I bought 4 wheelers and paid for football leagues and everything would do this but he only knows what mom shows him."
The man added that he still loved the child like his own son. He insisted that he was not the aggressor in the situation and further claimed that the boy grabbed his gun off his hip following his mom's lead.

Lil Durk's son allegedly shot his stepdad to protect his mother
On Sunday, Joshua Pippens took to Instagram to share footage of a domestic altercation between himself and his woman outside his residence in which he ended up getting shot by the woman's 10-year-old son who according to him, she shared with rapper Lil Durk.
He narrated in the caption of the post—
"As y’all can see I was not the aggressor and y’all also can see how I still had my gun on my hip he grabbed my gun off my hip following his moms lead and tried to shoot me and then actually shot me."
Pippens also claimed that he was shot by Lil Durk's alleged son in the stomach and shared footage of himself in the hospital with stitches on his torso. Along with the video, he shared an investigative report from the Department of Child Services detailing the incident.
The report narrated the incident from an interview with Lil Durk's 10-year-old son. The 10-year-old stated that he and his mother returned to his stepdad's home on July 1, after which an argument broke out between Lil Durk's baby mama and Pippens. The boy kept asking his mother to stop fighting.
As per the report Durk's son got out of the car and pushed Pippens. He admitted to his mother having a gun but also claimed that it did not go off. When his step-father's gun dropped to the ground following a confrontation with the boy's mom, the 10-year-old picked it up and shot Joshua Pippens to protect his mom.
The boy said the couple often yelled at each other and that his mother got "really mad, really fast." DCS requested the removal of the 10-year-old and his two siblings from their mother's custody.
Joshua Pippens shared an Instagram story saying he had a gun to protect himself and never imagined being shot by his stepson, claiming the boy only knew what his mother showed him.
Pippens also put out another Instagram story in which he prayed for Lil Durk to get full custody of his kid and himself to receive full custody of his kids with Lil Durk's baby mama.
In yet another Instagram story Joshua Pippens wrote—
"Whatever makes y'all feel better that's why I got custody of my kids and she don't y'all so internet, think (sic) got it was me that took the shot and not her that's still my daughters mom but she knows like ik. GOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN GOOD TO ME SURVIVOR."
Lil Durk on the other hand celebrated Father's Day on June 17 in style, alongside all his ten children. On the occasion, the rapper shared a picture alongside his 5 sons in suits and five daughters in white dresses.
