In a recent interview with VladTV dated August 3, 2024, Wack 100 insinuated that American record executive Suge Knight could have prevented rapper Tupac's death. Wack 100 claimed that Knight was aware of Tupac's life being at risk and that the rapper could've been saved if adequate security measures had been taken.
The late Tupac Shakur signed with Knight's Death Row Records in 1995. Commenting on how Knight should have protected his artist better, Wack 100 mentioned in his interview,
"As the one that was supposed to have been leading that, he should have made the right decision"
Wack 100 also said that instead of making the right decision, everybody was "partying and bulls*****ng" leading to the way Tupac died. Wack said that Suge Knight was "too worried about the wrong thing."
"Pac is finally getting justice" — Suge Knight comments on developments in Tupac Shakur's case
On September 7, 1996, Tupac Shakur was in the passenger seat of a black BMW driven by Suge Knight as they passed the MGM Grand Hotel on their way to nightclub Club 662. A white Cadillac pulled up beside their car and opened fire on Tupac and Knight, killing the rapper and injuring Knight.
Currently, the prime suspect charged with Tupac's murder is Keefe D, who is alleged to be the gang leader who planned the rapper's killing. Keefe D is the only person alive from the Cadillac from which shots were fired at Tupac and Suge Knight. Keefe D and Knight were friends during their teenage years and played on the same Pop Warner football team.
In an episode of Collect Call with Suge Knight dated December 2023, Knight commented on Tupac getting justice and stated,
"It's been a long time since I was able to talk freely about Pac because we were so close. And the thing is, Pac is finally getting justice. And justice for Pac is not so much somebody gettin' punished, or goin' to prison. It's the fact that if you was around Pac, and you had your hands into trying to destroy him, and we got the receipts, it's a problem."
Knight also commented on Keefe D's role in Tupac's murder and stated there was a strong feeling of jealousy which is worse than hate. He said that people get jealous when someone's name starts ringing.
However, in October 2023, Suge Knight also showcased sympathy for his former friend Keefe D in an interview with TMZ. Knight told the publication about playing with Keefe D on the same football team. He then stated that regardless of Keefe's involvement "with anything," he wouldn't wish even his worst enemy to go to prison.
As for Suge Knight's current whereabouts, the American record executive turned himself in to the authorities in 2015 about a hit-and-run case in the same year that took the life of producer Terry Carter. Found guilty of voluntary manslaughter, Knight is serving his 28-year sentence in federal prison.
The record executive triggered California's three-strike laws with the hit and run besides his prior felonies of sending a harassing text to director F. Gary Gray and stealing a camera.
