Omar Apollo recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the rumors of a beef between him and Troye Sivan, calling it hilarious and pointing out they were great friends with each other in the post released on July 12, 2024:

"the fact yall think i have beef with Troye Sivan is hilarious, he met my dad and i met his mom at the last show we played together. very sweet woman. i get it tho, negativity is appealing i expect nothing less on this app lol he’s always been a great friend."

Following the tweet, many fans were surprised to find out about the alleged beef and remarked that it was their first time hearing about it. The feud apparently started with a response to the post on a picture featuring Omar Apollo with Troye Sivan, with one netizen suggesting that the beef was actually between the two singer's fan bases.

While dispersing the rumors regarding his beef with Troye Sivan, Omar Apollo also reaffirmed his friendship. The duo was recently featured together in the February issue of VMan magazine's 52nd edition, where they elaborate on how they met at the opening of the feature:

"Omar Apollo: I think the Loewe,no?/Troye Sivan: I don't remember. I feel like for some reason, I have a memory of (meeting at) Blake Slatkin's house./Apollo:Probably! that makes much more sense. But that has to be like 2018 or 2019, no?/Sivan: I don't know. But I really remember meeting you for sure at the show..."

The duo continued chatting:

"Sivan: It was when we you were wearing that coat that was shedding on me/ Apollo: Oh yeah, that's right, it was everywhere. I just found a photo of that! I'll send it you, its really funny..."
