Canadian singer Justin Bieber’s 2020 song Yummy has been making headlines recently in the wake of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest and federal indictment. On September 23, TikToker Alexia Mae aka @alexismae.xo scrutinized the music video of Yummy and claimed that it contained cryptic connotations.

She claimed that Justin Bieber may have used the music video as a “warning” against Diddy, and then offered a thorough analysis of how it was allegedly indicative of Sean Combs’ infamous parties, and s*x or drug-related activities which reportedly took place in the said parties.
“He’s been really screaming this for such a long time,” Alexis Mae added, claiming that Bieber has long been talking about Diddy's alleged illicit activities through his songs.
Subsequently, the TikToker found out moments from the video such as the transformation of a cherry from red to black, which she claimed hinted at the loss of s*xual innocence.
Exploring in detail the viral TikTok clip’s analysis of Justin Bieber’s Yummy music video
On Monday, TikTok influencer Alexis Mae offered a detailed review of Justin Bieber’s four-year-old music video of his hit song Yummy from the studio album Changes. She alleged that the MV wasn’t meant for entertainment only but as a caution against Sean Combs.
The music video begins with the pop icon arriving at a party sporting a pink hoodie and pink hairdo through the kitchen and making his way to the tables where old, rich people were seated. At this point, a young female violin player was seen on the stage at the party, dressed in red.
As per Alexis’ analysis, at the end of the video, the same red sparkly cloth was draped across one of the chairs, seemingly hinting that the violinist was no longer wearing it, or in other words, she was n*de.
She also asked the viewers to pay attention to the fact that apart from Justin Bieber and the band, including the young violinist, everyone else at the party was “way older.”
Mae also highlighted that there was a sandwich placed on the table, right in front of Justin Bieber, where a slice of bread appeared to be sticking out as if it was fortifying the red cherry directly behind it. Later, the TikToker pointed out that more food such as raw fish, green Jell-O, peas, and shrimp arrived from the kitchen.
This is when Justin Bieber stopped eating and his sandwich plate appeared to have changed its position to the side of the table with its insides exposed. Alexis pointed out that the color of cherry, which was previously red, appeared to have changed into black, or, in other words, rotten.
She also claimed that the accompaniments such as green olive and pickle looked identical to a human face with its tongue protruding, thus giving it an explicit look.
Alexis Mae’s followers agreed with her analysis and even offered their additional insights, with the majority alleging that the color change of the cherry was suggestive of the loss of innocence for the young woman in the video and was probably a hidden message of what Diddy reportedly did to the younger generation “behind closed doors.”
Elsewhere, the 2-minute and 43-second viral TikTok scrutiny also highlighted that towards the end of Yummy’s music video, Justin Bieber appeared to get back into the groove as the lights turned darker and female backup dancers joined him. According to Alexis Mae, everyone wearing white in the MV was probably suggestive of Diddy’s infamous “white parties.”
The TikTok influencer also shared her belief that one of the waiters in the background of Justin Bieber’s music video resembled record executive L.A. Reid. The former CEO and Chairman of Epic Records is often credited alongside Diddy to have given the Canadian popstar his career breaks.
Notably, L.A. Reid has been accused of s*xual assault twice, once by one of his female assistants in May 2017 and later in a November 2023 lawsuit by his former associate Drew Dixon.
Justin Bieber’s Yummy music video ended with an empty plate in front of him, only having his boyhood picture and the words “Yummy” written across it. The TikTok influencer claimed that it was perhaps suggestive that Justin himself was a “yummy dish” served at one of Diddy’s infamous wild parties.
For the uninitiated, Justin Bieber was discovered via YouTube when he was 15 by former manager and record executive Scooter Braun, who later introduced him to R&B singer Usher. From there, the Believe singer met Diddy and was mentored by him.
Recently, in the wake of Diddy’s arrest, an old video from 2009 has resurfaced where the hip-hop mogul could be heard saying how he spent “crazy” 48 hours with Justin Bieber. He claimed he was unable to “disclose” what they were actually doing, adding it was “definitely a 15-year-old’s dream.”
Before the Yummy music video’s recent viral analysis, earlier this week, a song seemingly titled Lost Myself At a Diddy Party circulated online, with the voice in it matching young Justin Bieber. However, it has since been debunked as AI-generated and fake. It first surfaced in April this year on TikTok.
