Drake bought a $15 million Texas ranch: Details explored
According to a piece by NBC in May 2024, Drake purchased the Inn at Dos Brisas in October 2023. The Texas ranch, reportedly located between Highways 290 and 6 and TX-105 at 10000 Champion Drive, cost the rapper $15 million.
The property was dubbed the state's sole Forbes Travel Guide five-star restaurant and was also listed as one of the 10 best hotels in Texas by CultureMap Houston. The Texas ranch is spread across 313 acres. It comprises a Mediterranean-style main house, casitas, haciendas, an equestrian center with a huge indoor arena, a sports court, an organic farm, a restaurant with a 7000-bottle wine cellar, and a greenhouse.
The property was initially purchased as a family retreat by tech mogul Dough Bosch with his wife Jennifer in 2000. But it was converted into a resort in 2004. The property was closed in 2022 owing to COVID-related losses, after which Drake purchased it.
Hinting at his investment on the Texas ranch, the One Dance rapper posted a video on Instagram stories in September 2023.
“Me and my partna’, we done gone country on y’all," he said in a Southern accent. "We said we was gonna do it for a lot of years and we’re doing it today. The sale is made. We gotta drop a new one for this. If you see your girl at the ‘Lover Boy Lane’, it’s over.”
Although Drake has a property in Texas, he stays in Toronto in an estate worth over $100 million. Drizzy calls the property "The Embassy." Amidst the rapper's feud with Kendrick Lamar, Kendrick's fans renamed Drizzy's mansion "2024 Kendrick's House" on Google Maps.
In other news, Drake recently dropped 100 Gigs of material comprising three new tracks, PowerPoint presentations, behind-the-scene videos of some of his songs, and random videos.
