During a recent Instagram Live, Pleasure P claimed that he wrote the lyrics of rapper Lil Wayne's Lollipop, which also achieved diamond status two years ago. Pleasure P talked about his claim when the track began playing on the radio during his Live, adding:
"28 million dollars, I ain't get."
Claiming he wrote Wayne's 2008 track, Pleasure P stated:
"Wayne, Mac Mane, I need my f**king plaque for this song, bro. Before my first album came out, I wrote this song with Static. Just give me what I deserve bro, I wrote this. I'm a part of his biggest record. 1.3 million in the first week, and I haven't been able to celebrate that."
Pleasure P further said that the others involved in the track can do something about it but nobody cares about him anymore, as per Hot New Hip Hop on December 28, 2024. As per Baller Alert's report the same day, he also alleged that Rex Zamor got his publishing credit, as the latter is mentioned on the record.
Netizens quickly took to X to express their opinions on Pleasure P's claims against Lil Wayne, as an X user tweeted:
"And he wants us to believe that 15+ years later."
"$28M later, he remembers he wrote it? That’s like calling dibs on leftovers a decade after the meal," an X user commented.
"That song came out in 2008…you just now saying something?" another user mentioned.
"You wait 10 years to ask for money is crazy lol," a netizen stated.
"Nah guy… times may be hard, but you don’t wait 16 years to start talking about your contribution & royalties,"another said.
Additionally, internet users commented on how Pleasure P should have sued Wayne when the song was released instead of claiming credits and money for it years later.
"I feel like Pleasure P needed to sue back then… now it almost doesn’t matter," an X user tweeted.
"Just grab your paperwork and call a lawyer. The f**k on you the internet talking for? Take it to court," another user commented.
