Young Thug's brother Quantavious Grier, popularly known as Unfoonk, took to Instagram to release a couple of cryptic messages. Unfoonk recently posted a few Instagram stories hinting at something big about to happen. The rapper wrote:

"Should I set the record straight are (sic) let the world think what they wanna think 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔"

The rapper was not done yet. He wrote in another subsequent Instagram story:

"Cant wait to see everybody faces 🤣🤣 U know the crazy part, I still dont got no bad blood with none of U fools I called my brothers and friends, I needed this tho,"

Once his cryptic messages picked up traction and started circulating across various social media platforms, Unfoonk released yet another Instagram story. The rapper wrote:

"I might be tripping or I might not 😂😂😂 But the internet gay bra lol,"

Social media users were confused by Unfoonk's statements, and many began speculating what they might actually mean. Some wanted Thugger's brother to set the record straight. Many speculated that Unfoonk was talking about Young Thug, Gunna, and their alleged involvement in the infamous YSL RICO case. Here are a few X (formerly known as Twitter) reactions in this regard:

"We already know Thugga coming home and gunna was a ploy to keep ysl paid and active", speculated one X user.
"Set the record straight. But if it’s involving Gunna good luck, Gunna been one of my favs for a minute I don’t care what info you got., said a second X user.
"The best is to set the record straight so as not to be misconstrued.", advised a third user.
"Please tell him don't say anything because it will hurt his brother. The judge threw the attorney in jail and he would make his brother testify so please tell him write a book after the verdict.", pleaded one particular user.

Young Thug's brother Unfoonk was sentenced to 9 years in prison for violating probation

Back in December 2022, Unfoonk, who was indicted alongside Young Thug and 26 other members of the alleged Young Slime Life for violent criminal activity and a plethora of other charges, entered into a plea deal.

According to Fulton County Superior Court documents, the rapper pleaded guilty to one count of theft and one count of violating the RICO Act. In return, Unfoonk was handed a 12-year prison sentence, with 2 years commuted to time served and 10 years probation.

Unfoonk also received 750 hours of community service. Additionally, he was not allowed to possess weapons, commit crimes, or even come into contact with his brother, Young Thug, until the case was over. However, the rapper's plea deal fell through due to a subsequent arrest.

In May 2023, the rapper was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon alongside traffic offenses and association with a criminal street gang to attempt illegal activity.

Investigators noted a gun at the driver-side door panel of a car being driven by Young Thug's brother. When asked about the gun, the rapper inquired that it was clean, leading officers to believe that he had prior knowledge of the weapon's presence.

Unfoonk was sentenced to 9 years on June 5, 2023, after he was found to have violated his probation orders by being caught with a firearm. During his sentencing, the judge also noted that Young Thug's brother hadn't paid his probation fees or started his community service sentence.
