Over the weekend, rapper Foxy Brown addressed rumors surrounding her friend Jay-Z in the wake of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing legal troubles. She shared a series of screenshots on her Instagram Stories, responding individually to the texts she had received recently.

One of the messages allegedly came from recording artist, producer, and songwriter Stefon Williams, aka 8TEFON, who texted her, “foxy when u speak its over, stay protected 2.”

“Y’all want me to be anti-HOV so bad. Foh post that!” Foxy Brown said.

In a follow-up story, she shared a post from X by @luffysboa that read, “Jay-Z spot bout to be blow up soon. Once Foxy NDA is over in 2025, baby, she singing! I feel like Roc Nation is almost done…”

The former Firm member wrote, “Miss me wit tha fake news NDA? Ain’t a MF alive to stop my story! NDA on my sh*t gon’ run 100 mill.”

Foxy Brown and Jay-Z became friends and collaborators when she signed with Def Jam Recordings in 1996. At the time, the Roc Nation boss co-wrote many of her songs, such as Get Me Home, Big Bad Mamma, and Hot Spot. He was also featured on her debut album’s famous song, I’ll Be, while she returned the favor by appearing in Jay-Z’s song Ain’t No N*gga.

Moreover, it was HOV who brought Foxy Brown back to Def Jam Recordings in 2004 after she had left due to creative differences a year earlier. This occurred when Jay-Z became its president and CEO and collaborated with her on several projects, including his Best of Both Worlds tour. However, later they parted ways.

Exploring Foxy Brown’s responses to the rumors involving her and Jay-Z

Recently, Foxy Brown, whose real name is Inga DeCarlo Fung Marchand, took to social media to address rumors about her alleged relationship with Jay-Z. In one such Instagram Story, she shared a clip from a YouTube video titled:

“Foxy Brown breaks silence| Game over 4 Jay-Z & Diddy| Link to Tupac Case.”

It also included a seemingly fabricated DM exchanged between Foxy Brown and a person named Marko Polo on Instagram. In the message, Marko alleged that Brown was alive and had been “covered” and “favored” by Jay-Z to “tell her story.” Foxy allegedly replied that her story would “shock” everyone, and while she was not a “victim,” she had to “step away” for her “sanity” or would have ended up “dead.”

However, the Ill Na Na singer refuted the video and wrote in her IG Story:

“Stop playin’ wit my name dyin’ for a comment! Can’t spin me with the sucker sh*t to take HOV down. Betta ask ‘bout tha cloth I’m cut from.”

Elsewhere, Brown mocked people for trying to turn her against HOV “so bad.” She also dismissed speculation about her being bound by a non-disclosure agreement preventing her from discussing her alleged relationship with Jay-Z.

The rumor that Foxy was groomed by the Reasonable Doubt hitmaker when she was a minor has circulated for years, starting with 2001 when Nas claimed in his Jay-Z diss track Ether that he allegedly slept with Brown. Earlier, in 2013, she seemingly told TMZ that she lost her virginity to the Rock-A-Fella Records founder and even contracted gonorrhea from him.

In 2021, Wendy Williams also hinted at an alleged romance between HOV and Foxy Brown during her eponymous show. The speculation was further fueled when Brown wished Jay-Z a happy birthday in 2022, accompanied by a post that read, “Thank you Hovy for all the G that you taught me. So, my PEN be STUPID” alongside a picture of them together. However, she hit back at rumors by writing how she loved Beyonce and warned people to stay away.

Later, she even shared a now-deleted post stating that the rumors surrounding her relationship with HOV are “pathetic at this point,” adding they were “lies” and “fake fairytale news.” She also mentioned being busy with motherhood and preparing for the “greatest comeback in music.”
