How many kids and baby mamas does Lil Durk have? Rapper's 10-year-old son accused of shooting his stepfather

On July 7, a claim arose on social media that rapper, singer, and songwriter Lil Durk’s 10-year-old son allegedly shot at his stepfather Joshua Pippens during a family dispute.

Pippens himself shared the video of the incident on Instagram (@reezy_dgaf) which reportedly took place on July 1. It showed a boy pointing a gun at a man who was tussling with a woman on the street in front of a house. Soon after, the kid fired the gun at the man, as the latter dropped to the ground.

The post has now gone viral and was captioned:

“As y’all can see I was not the aggressor and y’all also can see how I still had my gun on my hip he grabbed my gun off my hip following his moms lead and tried to shoot me and then actually shot me I advise y’all see it before they take it down #buildawareness.”

Lil Durk’s son’s stepfather, who allegedly spent time at the hospital following the reported incident, made several other follow-up posts. He claimed that he wasn’t planning to press charges against the young boy, even though the whole incident took him by surprise.

“I was trying to protect myself from getting shot I never in a million years thought a kid I bought 4 wheelers and paid for football leagues and everything would do this but he only knows what mom shows him I still love him like he’s mine,” Pippens wrote in an Instagram Story.

Later, he went on to urge Lil Durk to claim and retain full sole custody of his 10-year-old son and said he would do the same with the daughter he shares with Durk’s baby mother Travonna, alleging her of being a bad influence in the kids’ lives.

So far, Lil Durk hasn’t responded to the alleged incident. For those uninitiated, the rapper has six children with five different women.

Lil Durk shares two kids with former girlfriend Nicole Covone

Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks, is a 31-year-old rapper hailing from Chicago, Illinois. He had a difficult childhood as his father Dontay Banks Sr. was incarcerated when he was only seven months old.

The Only the Family founder first became a father in 2011 when he was only 19 years old. Back then, his girlfriend (now ex) Nicole Covone gave birth to their first child, son Angelo Banks.

Later, in 2013, the former couple, who began dating in 2008, became parents to daughter Bella Banks and then reportedly parted ways soon after.

That same year, Lil Durk also became a father another child, son Zayden Banks. However, the identity of the baby's mother remains unknown. In 2014, the Went Hollywood for a Year hitmaker announced the birth of his son Du’mier Banks but did not reveal who the mother is.

It remains undisclosed whether Zayden and Du’mier have the same mother.

Later, Lil Durk welcomed his second daughter Skyler Banks reportedly with his now ex-girlfriend Tameka Kute. In 2018, social media influencer India Royale gave birth to Lil Durk’s daughter Willow Banks.

Reportedly, the pair began dating in 2021 and the rapper even proposed to her that year during a performance in his hometown. They seemingly share an on-again off-again relationship. In 2023, they temporarily broke up after DThang was accused of infidelity.

However, they seemed to have mended their differences and appeared together on the 66th Grammy Awards red carpet earlier this year. At present, they seemingly share joint custody of their child.
