Country singer Tim McGraw deleted one of his Planet Fitness promotional tweets recently. It comes amid the transgender controversy the organization is currently embroiled in. At the time of writing this article, the musician had not publicly addressed the reason behind taking back his endorsement for the company.

Tim McGraw took to X to reveal that Planet Fitness was giving away a “FIRST MONTH FREE” offer if one used the promotional code “MCGRAW.” He also revealed that one could join the fitness studio’s online classes. The 57-year-old also said in the promotional video:

“You may have heard me talk about how important fitness is in my life. It makes me feel better, it gives me a better outlook on everything that I do. But I wouldn’t be able to stay consistent and fit without the support of my family, my friends, my community. We all need a support system that will keep us moving. And that’s where Planet Fitness comes in.”

Controversial social media page Libs of TikTok was one of the many who took to the internet to criticize the singer for his partnership with Planet Fitness. They stated:

“Tim has 3 daughters. @TheTimMcGraw do you feel comfortable letting your daughter use PF knowing a man can expose himself to her and PF will defend the man because that’s their policy? Do you support this?”

At the time of writing this article, the tweet had amassed nearly two million views. As mentioned above, Tim McGraw is the parent of three daughters, Gracie, Maggie, and Audrey, whom he shares with Faith Hill.

Everything to know about Tim McGraw’s family as singer deletes Planet Fitness social media post from X account

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s oldest daughter, Gracie, is 26 years old. After graduating from New York University, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. Since then, she has appeared on television shows like If Loving You Is Wrong and Be My Guest with Ina Garten.

The couple is also parents to 24-year-old Maggie, who graduated with a Master’s degree from Stanford University. Maggie went on to work as a staff assistant and legislative correspondent for the Democratic Representative of Tennessee, Jim Cooper. She also worked for Democratic Senator Peter Welch.

Their youngest daughter is 21 years old and is making her way into the show business. She made her acting debut as well in 2021 after starring in her dad’s 7500 OBO music video.

Speaking about his children, Tim McGraw said in a 2021 interview with People magazine:

“It’s inspiring to me to watch them go out on their own and do the things they do. We’ve raised three strong, independent, strong-minded young women. And what I’m most grateful for is just how normal our kids are and how grounded they are and how much they respect themselves and other people. It makes me feel like we’ve done a pretty decent job, especially Mom.”

Tim McGraw garnered backlash from certain netizens after Planet Fitness banned a woman from the studio after she posted a picture of a transgender woman in the woman’s locker room.

The patron asked a Planet Fitness employee to have the other woman, who was shaving her face, removed from the locker room, however, the employee stated that the woman may use another stall if she is uncomfortable with the situation.

After the matter gained traction online, Planet Fitness released a statement announcing that they wish to create a judgment-free and inclusive space where their gender identity non-discrimination policy is strictly followed.

They went on to state that the woman who took pictures of the other patron was banned from Planet Fitness as she violated the organization’s mobile device policy, which prohibits members from taking photos inside the locker room.
