Born in the Bronx, New York, Ice Spice is a modern-day rapper who embarked on her musical journey in 2021. While studying at the State University Of New York, she met music producer, RiotUSA. In a December 2023 interview with Billboard, RiotUSA shared that he and Ice Spice are "mutual high school friends." He added that she welcomed him into "her creative space."
She became a fast-emerging rap star and dropped her debut single, Bully Freestyle in March 2021. She gained massive traction with her 2022 track Munchin' (Feeling You), which also received a shout-out from Drake after he played it on his Sirius XM radio station, Sound 42.
Ice Spice has released one extended play and twelve singles in the last three years. After her viral success on social media, the 24-year-old continued releasing songs in collaboration with Nicki Minaj, Lil Tjay, and Taylor Swift. In March 2024, the rapper took to her Instagram account to announce the completion of her debut studio album, Y2K.

2021: Early Releases
Ice Spice started making music in her early 20s and dropped a few songs with music producer RiotUSA in 2021. She began with Bully Freestyle, which was released in March. It was followed by a music video for No Clarity in November 2021.
2022: Viral Hit
She unveiled three songs in 2022, including Euphoric, Name Of Love, and Munch (Feelin' You), which went viral on X and TikTok.
Munch (Feelin' You) also made it to Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in 2022, marking her first-ever RIAA-certified Gold plaque. The hit single was followed by Bikini Bottom, released in October 2022.
2022 was a busy year for Spice as she was featured on One Time by B-Lovee. Later that year, she signed a record deal with 10K Projects and Capitol Records.
2023: Releases EP
Ice Spice dropped her debut EP titled Like? on January 20, 2023, and included singles, namely Munch (Feelin' You), In Ha Mood, and Lil Tjay-assisted Gangsta Boo. Spice further solidified her position when five of her songs entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

She also performed for the opening act of Doja Cat's The Scarlet Tour. Spice also reflected on her relationship with Nicki Minaj. In an interview with Zane Lowe in July 2023, Spice revealed that the first time she met Minaj, she was very "nervous" and "cried", but it was a "full circle moment" for her.
2024: Y2K World Tour
The only song that she has released so far in 2024 is Think U The Shit (Fart), which will appear with other singles in her upcoming album Y2K. Spice is currently on her Y2K World Tour and will make her last stop at the Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater on 31 August 2024.
From a viral TikTok sensation to being awarded the best rookie hip-hop artist, Ice Spice has shown that she is not a one-hit-wonder. Ice Spice has collaborated with various artists in just three years of making music and delivered some hit singles.
