Billy Ray Cyrus recently joined his 30-year-old son Braison Cyrus on stage as he made his Grand Ole Opry debut in Nashville on July 6, 2024. Billy Ray Cyrus shares Braison with ex-wife Tish Cyrus and is the couple's second-youngest child after Noah Cyrus.
Braison began his career in the music arena in 2018 and released his debut album Javelina in 2021. Over the years, he has performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Talking to PEOPLE about his son's debut at the Grand Ole Opry, Billy Ray Cyrus called it a "full-circle moment" and stated:
"Literally standing in the sacred circle with my son Braison Chance Cyrus by my side. I have never been more proud."

Born in March 1994, Braison Cyrus has been married to Stella McBride Cyrus since 2019 and the couple share a son called Bear Chance Cyrus who was born in June 2021.
Talking about his recent debut at the Grand Ole Opry, Braison Cyrus told the publication that it was an honor to perform with his dad at "such a legendary venue". He also mentioned that he loves hanging out with Billy Ray Cyrus in addition to undertaking activities like going on walks and riding dirt bikes.
He stated that every once in a while it is "great to hop on stage with him" and do what the father-son duo are passionate about and best at, "which is playing music". Braison talked about the Opry stage and mentioned:
"Playing on the Opry stage is surreal, especially getting to do it with my dad."
Apart from showcasing his skills at the Opry, Braison took to Instagram on July 2, 2024, to inform his fans that after undergoing serious changes and growth in his life, he has begun writing songs for himself again. Hinting at a new album, Braison Cyrus mentioned that the collection of songs he's written has become an album that he's trying to produce and perform himself.
Updating his fans on what he has been up to in recent years, the Black Water singer stated that he has been focused on writing songs for other artists which the audience might've heard or will hear soon, and that he is extremely proud of what he has written. Braison commented on the new album and mentioned:
"This new album is for me and is the closest thing I’ve ever done to what I originally set out to do when I decided to make music my life and my career back in 2017."
While Braison did not share the particulars of his new album, he dedicated it to the fans who have been supporting him since his album I'll Never Leave You released in 2018.
Apart from Billy Ray Cyrus and Braison Cyrus, the band members of Billy's band joined the father-son duo on stage. This also included drummer Eddie Bayers who was a part of Billy's 1994 track Storm in the Heartland.
Eddie Bayers lost his son in a motorcycle accident when the former was making music with Billy Ray Cyrus. Commenting on how Eddie was a part of the moment when the father-son duo opened with Storm In the Heartland at the Opry, Billy Ray Cyrus called it a "full circle moment".
