"I was calm and I was at peace" — Chrisean Rock opens up about her first night in jail after her release from prison

American rapper Chrisean Rock was arrested at Blueface's court hearing in August 2024 and had a warrant out for her arrest since March 2024. The charges against Chrisean arise from her arrest in 2022 wherein she was pulled over a traffic stop and the police found drugs in the car.

On September 7, 2024, Chrisean Rock was released for a brief period wherein she met her son Chrisean Malone Jr just days after his first birthday. Talking about her first night in jail in an interview with Pastor Jamal Bryant, Chrisean said:

“I was calm and I was at peace. I didn’t cry, I knew I had to take care of my responsibilities and obligations with my legal and I just asked God for that place to be a spiritual hospital because I felt like I was dragging the Holy Spirit everywhere I went. "

She continued:

"Doing the most, and the Holy Spirit was grieving and I didn’t have the strength to pull away from things, people, places and things.”

“I don’t have an appetite for confusing things"- Chrisean Rock tells Pastor Jamal Bryant

In her interview with Pastor Jamal Bryant, Chrisean Rock talked about how she aspires to find peace by walking in the path of purity, obedience, and God's word. When the pastor asked her where she sees herself in five years, Chrisean took a pause and replied she'd be walking straight in her purity.

Additionally, Chrisean shared advice for women wanting to enter the entertainment industry by stating that they don't have to change who they are but they do have to convert hinting at her faith. She said:

"All the glory belongs to God. You choose music, do music for the Lord. If you do teaching, hopefully it’s Bible verses and you saving souls.”

Next, pastor Jamal Bryant asked Chrisean what would the the title of her biopic be and she replied "God's plan." The pastor also asked her about her decision to move past drug use and the rapper's lack of appetite for her previous habits of consuming alcohol and smoking marijuana. Commenting on the same, Chrisean stated:

"I don’t have an appetite for confusing things"

The rapper said that she's been done with drugs for a really long time yet everyone is helpless. She mentioned that as much as people think they can do this on their own, they want strength from the "word of God" instead of strength from the world.

Additionally, Chrisean Rock also expressed her desire to leave recording "worldly music" and shift to the tunes of the gospel which she calls the "hood gospel".

Chrisean Rock was jailed at the Craig County Detention Center and as per XXL the rapper is facing failure to have a tax stamp affixed on CDS (control dangerous substances) as well as possession of CDS with the intention to distribute. If convicted on both counts, Chrisean would have to face eight years in prison.

While Chrisean is currently out of jail, Blueface, her estranged boyfriend and father of her son is actively serving a four-year prison sentence for violating parole. Moreover, Chrisean was arrested at a court hearing for Blueface she attended in San Fernando Valley, Calif.
