Ice Spice is making headlines with the release of her debut album, Y2K, which came out on July 26. The hip-hop album has quickly climbed the charts, currently peaking at #18 on the US Billboard 200 albums.
The immediate success of the album has left the Bronx-born rapper in high spirits for future projects. In a recent interview with Billboard published on August 2, Ice confirmed that she is ready to start working on another album.
"I am definitely so ready to start another album. So that’s great. I know my label is gonna be really excited to hear that. I don’t wanna start teasing the next album, we in Y2K!" Ice Spice said.
Ice's Y2K album comprises ten tracks, including TTYL, Gimme A Light, Think U The Shit (Fa*t), Did It First, and more. While Did It First currently peaks at #56 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, Think U The Shit has reached #37. Each track has been reportedly streamed over 1.7 million times on Spotify.
Following the release of Y2K, Ice Spice said that she was anxious and excited. She also extended her gratitude to fans and linked the album's success with the ongoing Y2K World Tour.
"I think it’s just really getting through the Y2K! Tour. That’s a success for the project. Being able to share it with fans in real time as it’s happening is crazy." Ice told Billboard.

Ice Spice announced the Y2K World Tour along with her debut album's release date on June 5. She began the European leg of the tour with sold-out festival dates on July 4. Ice hosted the opening concert of the tour at Denmark's Roskilde Festival.
Following a week of consecutive festival shows, she wrapped up the European leg of the tour on July 18 at the Plaine de la Machine à Feu in Belgium. The North American leg of the tour began last week, on July 30.
Unlike the European leg, the North American leg is lined with headlining shows, marking the first headlining tour of Ice Spice's career. In a recent Billboard interview, Ice expressed her excitement and mentioned that she wanted to do this for a year.
She shared that it was a proud moment for her to be able to share her music live with fans. Ice kicked off the North American leg at The Anthem in Washington DC. She has already covered shows in Montclair, Philadelphia, and Boston.
The rapper's tour extends till August 31, 2024, and covers 13 more cities, including NYC, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, and more. Additionally, Ice Spice will host a one-off Canadian concert at the History live music venue in Toronto on August 11.
