On November 15, 2024, American political commentator Candace Owens took to X to question Cardi B if she was paid to speak at the Kamala Harris campaign rally. Owens specified that she was asking this query for a story she was working on, thanking Cardi in advance for the same.

Responding to Candace Owens, Cardi B responded via a tweet stating:

"I didn’t get paid a dollar and that’s on my three!! I actually came out of pocket for glam and travel because it’s somewhere I wanted to be.. Like please girl you know damn well I’ll argue you down about politics FOR FREE"

For the unversed, Cardi B delivered a speech at Kamala Harris' rally at Wisconsin State Fair Park on November 5, 2024. Her speech lasted for about ten minutes and made headlines not only because of what the rapper spoke about but also because her teleprompter failed to function for the first few minutes of her speech.

"This may not mean much but I am so proud of you!"—Cardi B mentions in post after Kamala Harris loses election to Trump

On November 6, 2024, Cardi B took to Instagram to talk about Kamala Harris' efforts after her opposition Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election. In her post, Cardi addressed Harris as "Vice President Kamala" and said that no matter what others have said to bring her down or belittle her run for the presidency, they can never say she didn't run her race with integrity and honesty.

Cardi B further mentioned:

“You really put up a fight against all the odds that were already stacked against you! You never accepted defeat as an option which says so much about your strength and about your heart. You really wanted better for ALL of us! This may not mean much but I am so proud of you!"

The rapper added that no one has ever made her change her mind but Kamala Harris did. She also said that she never thought she'd see a woman of colour running for the President of the United States but Harris showed the women across the country that "anything is possible". At the end of her post, Cardi B expressed her gratitude toward Kamala Harris and said:

"Thank you for being an example, thank you for being empowered, thank you for being a real example of what the American dream should be!”

In her speech at the Wisconsin rally, Cardi B highlighted that just like Kamala Harris, she has also been the underdog, further adding that her success has been discredited and belittled. She talked about how women have to work ten times harder and perform ten times better, yet people question how they got to the top.

Endorsing Kamala Harris, the I Like It rapper said:

"I can’t stand a bully, but just like Kamala, I always stand up to one.”

Moreover, in an interview with Rolling Stone in May 2024, Cardi B expressed discontent with Trump and Joe Biden, who had not opted out of the election race at that time. She said that because the U.S. won't benefit from countries of the war, the leaders have decided not to help. The rapper added that she doesn't like that "America has this superhero cape on" and that things are done at the country's convenience.

While endorsing Harris at the Wisconsin rally, Cardi also mentioned about not having faith in any of the presidential candidates until Harris joined the race. The rapper said that she planned on not voting in 2024 and Kamala Harris changed her mind on the same.
