Comedian, actor, TV host, and rapper Nick Cannon recently got candid about attending a Diddy party during his October 11 appearance on The Breakfast Club radio show. He shared how he was just a “kid,” around 16 or 17 years old when he first went to one of Sean Combs’ parties in New York City. However, he assured that he never attended the now-infamous “freak-offs.”
“Everybody gets scared to talk because they probably got something to hide. I ain’t got nothing to hide. I was in there Harlem shaking, doing all of that stuff, but it wasn’t — come on, whatever.”
Nick Cannon also claimed that he didn’t have much to do at a Diddy party because he didn’t do drugs or alcohol. He also explained that most celebrities who are silent on their experiences of attending an event at the Bad Boy Records owner’s home were probably “hiding” something and “thinking” that they may get caught in the scandal as well.
Exploring Nick Cannon’s latest remarks on attending Diddy parties
Earlier this month, Nick Cannon sat down for an interview with DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Loren LoRosa on The Breakfast Club where he opened up about attending a Sean Combs’ party for the first time in NYC when he was still a teenager.
“I live my truth. I remember standing outside, you know, trying to get into a Puff party out here in New York. Like, everybody was out. Like how the ‘One More Chance’ video looked, that was real, real stuff out here,” Nick shared.
The 44-year-old continued:
“Like people standing at the door [to see] who can get in and stuff like that. Bad Boy parties were official in New York in the late ’90s.”
He also admitted that he has “nothing to hide” because he never saw anything “crazy” at such parties, especially the ones hosted in Diddy’s hometown, Harlem.
On October 21, Nick Cannon doubled down on his claims during his appearance on the No Jumper podcast with hosts Adam22 and Wack 100. He explained how he never saw anything inappropriate at Diddy’s parties as he was mostly there for work and often left early.
“I’m the DJ. When it’s time for me to wrap up, I’m out… Supposedly, whatever they got, we’re gonna see in May.”
The America’s Got Talent host claimed that many accusations against Diddy were “sensationalized,” and refused to believe that Combs assaulted minors. He explained, “The Puff I knew I started to see, I felt like he wanted to change and was evolving and was, like, ‘Yo, I want to be the father,’’ however, his alleged past actions caught up to him. Cannon also shared that Diddy “had been through so much sh*t” and now his “Karma is on trial.”
When the hosts pointed out that success, fame, and wealth may have impacted Diddy’s lifestyle, Nick Cannon agreed, while adding that everyone knew Diddy to be a “legendary a*shole,” and so, now when he was going through a crisis, he no longer had people “rooting for” him.
Cannon also shared his insight about the topic of s*x and said that as someone who has had his fair share of experiences in it, he now has a changed perspective on intimacy.
“Even as a man in his 40s, I’m done with all that sh*t. I’m not even talking about the physical act of it. Just mentally, I’m talking just dealing with the bullsh*t,” he added.
For those uninitiated, Sean Combs was arrested by federal agents on September 16 on the charges of racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution, following a grand jury indictment.
Later, he was arraigned at a federal court in Manhattan where he pled not guilty. However, he was denied bail multiple times on the risk of witness tampering, intimidation, erratic behavior, and “serious flight risk.” Currently, he is being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial, which begins on May 5, 2025.
