Last week, Lord Jamar appeared for an interview with The Art of Dialogue and shared how Sean “Diddy” Combs was unlikely to get bail. He mentioned how the court already denied his $50 million bond twice, indicating that the case was much bigger than any sum of money.
“If they are turning down the money, whoa, like yeah, they really must want you, got something on you, or trying to leverage bigger than that $50 million. What’s on those tapes? Who does he have on those tapes? There’s politicians on those tapes. I have had rumors of Obama and Michelle,” Jamar claimed.
The rapper, DJ, and record producer further claimed that there were other influential people on those "freak off" tapes and for years Diddy might have been leveraging those, and now the federal government was on them.
Lord Jamar thinks Diddy is “cooked” amid the latter’s ongoing legal troubles
During his recent appearance on The Art of Dialogue podcast, Lord Jamar was asked about Diddy’s recent arrest and federal indictment, and whether he felt Diddy was likely to get bail.
In response, the Bronx native said that it was unlikely as “when you have so much money like that, I feel, you are a flight risk” and can also “intimidate witnesses” and “continue with the foul” businesses, such as hosting the now-infamous “freak off” parties with s*x and drug-related activities.
“But what I will say is, I don’t want it to just stop here. Like, he’s not the top of this sh*t. He’s not the top of the pyramid when it comes to freak-offs or doing illegal sh*t as far as CEOs go and this type of sh*t. There’s white people that need to come to justice for this too,” Lord mentioned.
He further continued:
“Like that who taught him this kind of sh*t. The Clive Davises of the world… Let’s not forget these motherf*ckers. Let’s not single out the Black man who does bad, because there’s plenty of f*ckers who do bad. Wasn’t they just talking about Jimmy Iovine? Did he not do something like this?”
During the conversation, the Brand Nubian hip-hop group founder alleged that there was a definite chance that all the s*x and drug tapes that the feds seized from Diddy’s homes contained names and glimpses of high-profile celebrities like music industry CEOs who “stepped down” in the recent times as well as politicians.
He mentioned how it was important to “put pressure” on everyone who was involved in alleged illicit activities, not just Diddy, saying for him it didn’t matter whether a person was white or black, if they did something that was “detrimental” to others, they deserved to be held accountable and brought to justice.
The 5% Album maker said that everybody who does “sh*t like this,” including those who aid and abet, “needs to go down,” such as Combs’ bodyguards and chefs. Elsewhere, he talked about how Combs was “cooked” as the federal government already declined a bond worth $50 million.
He added that the government usually wanted such a big sum. So, if they rejected it, they must be “f*cking serious” about prosecuting the Bad Boy Records mogul, getting to the bottom of the scandal, and finding out who else was involved in his alleged criminal activities.
Lord Jamar also believes that Diddy is no “gangster” and so he should just drop names and take a deal if it is offered to him to save himself while referencing 50 Cent’s song with the lyrics seemingly reading, “if the feds come get me, are you coming with me?”
In the same interview, Lord Jamar said that Diddy “did what he did” as he is the “diddler” and what happens in the dark eventually comes to light. He also shared that rumors about the disgraced hip-hop magnate being “bis*xual” or gay have been going on since the 90s, which is why he was probably part of the “Gay Mafia.”
As per the 56-year-old, Combs, despite everything he has done, was not the “godfather” but rather “one of the heads,” adding that Jay-Z might just be “next” in line to be investigated and eventually prosecuted.
Diddy has been denied bail twice
On September 16, Diddy was arrested by federal agents from the Park Hyatt Hotel in New York City following a grand jury indictment that charged him with racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The next day he was indicted at the Manhattan Federal Court where he pled “not guilty.” However, he was denied bail when prosecutors argued that he was a “serious flight risk.”
Meanwhile, the judge presiding over his case denied the bail twice on September 17 and 18 on the grounds of risk of witness tampering, intimidation, violent behavior, and more.
The first bail package involved $50 million including his Miami mansion and mother Janice Hall Combs’ house as collateral. His legal team also offered the feds to monitor his movements with GPS and prohibit flying.
When it was rejected, the second deal had all of the first deal with an additional offer of the security company responsible for his homes to hand over visitor information to the feds nightly.
Besides, Diddy vouched to restrict visitors to family members including his mother and children, property caretakers, women who are only mothers of his kids, and friends who were not part of the federal indictment. He also agreed to weekly drug tests.
Regardless, he is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center without bond, awaiting trial, the date of which has not been disclosed yet. He is set to appear before the court next on October 9.
Meanwhile, his bail denial has been appealed at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. His lawyer Marc Agnifilo revealed that Diddy won’t be taking a plea deal.
