"It’s just being competitive," he clarified.

What are the allegations against Jay-Z in s*xual assault lawsuit? Details explored

According to a report by NBC News dated December 10, 2024, Shawn Carter aka Jay-Z was accused in a lawsuit on December 8, 2024, of r*ping a 13-year-old girl after an awards show in 2000 along with Diddy. The lawsuit filed in federal court in New York’s Southern District was originally filed in October 2024 against Diddy. However, it was refiled in New York to include Jay-Z, and the filing was made by an anonymous "Jane Doe".

In the lawsuit, Jane Doe alleged that she met Hov and Diddy after the MTV Music Video Awards in Manhattan in 2000, and that she was trying to get into the event or after-party but didn't have a ticket. This resulted in her approaching limousine drivers outside the venue, wherein one of the drivers said that he worked for Diddy and was a fit for what he was looking for.

The lawsuit mentions that the driver took her to an after-party where she was made to sign what she believes was a nondisclosure agreement after which she was given a drink that made her "woozy". Jane Doe's lawsuit states that she lay down in a room after the drink, when Diddy and Jay-Z entered, and Hov removed her clothes and r*ped her while an unnamed female celebrity and Diddy watched.

However, Jay-Z denied the claims via a statement on Roc Nation's Instagram page on December 8, 2024, wherein he addressed Tony Buzbee, the attorney who filed Jane Doe's lawsuit. Hov said that the attorney made a “terrible error in judgment thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same." He also claimed that the pre-litigation demand letter that he got from Buzbee was a form of blackmail to get the Renegade rapper to settle.

While 50 Cent addressed that he doesn't have any issues with Jay-Z and hoped that his family life isn't affected by the lawsuit's claims, he also took a dig at Hov recently. On December 9, 2024, the Young Forever rapper attended the Mufasa premiere along with Beyonce and Blue Ivy Carter and Cent took to Instagram to comment on the same.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, 50 Cent shared a photo of Hov and his family with the caption suggesting that Jay-Z acknowledged the r*pe allegations in the lawsuit and asked his family to get dressed to see Mufasa.
