In a recent appearance on Vlad TV dated November 26, 2024, Lul Tim commented on the possibility of Lil Durk getting the death penalty over his friend Lul Pab's death. Lul Time was one of the accused in Durk's close associate King Von's death.
In the video, Lul Tim was informed about Lil Durk being held without bond and might face life in prison or possible death penalty, if convicted. Tim was asked how would he feel if Durk was given the death penalty for Lil Pub's murder to which he replied:
"In my head I just put it like s*it that what God wanted to happen... It mean too much I really or how much I really feel about it. I just be like that what God wanted to happen."
Lul Tim also said that if Durk came out innocent in the situation, he'd still think that was what God wanted. He said he feels like everything is in the hands of God at the end of the day.
Then, Tim was asked if he'd feel the same way if Durk got life in prison to which he answered affirmatively. Lul Tim said:
"I don't wish jail on nobody like I'm not no person who be like but I hope he don't never get out or nothing like that. I ain't that type of person who wish jail or nobody cause I wouldn't want nobody to wish jail on me."
Lil Durk pleads not guilty in murder-for-hire case: Details explored
Rapper Lil Durk was arrested in Florida on October 25, 2024, while five members of the hip-hop group Durk formed called Only The Family were detained in California. Durk and OTF members were charged in connection to the murder-for-hire plot of Quando Rondo's cousin in 2022.
According to a report by Forbes dated November 15, 2024, an affidavit filed in federal court based on the testimony of FBI agent Sarah Corcoran mentioned that Durk had placed a bounty on Quando Rondo's life. The affidavit also mentioned that flight tickets purchased to carry out the murder-for-hire were made with credit cards linked to Only The Family and Durk.
As per the affidavit, the murder-for-hire plot was carried out in retaliation for the murder of Lil Durk's friend King Von in 2020. However, while the alleged plan was to target Quando Rondo, it resulted in the death of Rondo's cousin and Lul Tim's friend, Lul Pub, in August 2022.
As per a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office for California's Central District, Durk appeared in the Los Angeles federal court on November 14, 2024. He was arraigned on murder-for-hire, firearms, and conspiracy charges, however, he pleaded not guilty to all of them. If convicted, the maximum sentence for Durk is life in prison.
According to a report by USA Today dated November 14, 2024, the rapper's indictment alleges that Lil Durk would place bounties on people that he and other OTF members wanted dead. Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston are named as the alleged conspirators in the same.
The rapper's trial is set to begin on January 7, 2025. Additionally, Lil Durk is scheduled for a status conference on November 25, 2024, and a detention hearing on December 12, 2024.
