"I know they’re gonna play games with those pictures" — Dame Dash shuts down rumors about old photos of him and Aaliyah at Diddy's party

In the recent event of Diddy getting arrested on September 16, 2024, photos of Dame Dash along with Aaliyah, Jay-Z, and Jennifer Lopez at a party with the rapper surfaced online.

These photos showcasing all the mentioned people on a giant bed garnered a lot of attention and made their way to Dame's Instagram Live comment section wherein he was talking about the release of his Apple Fish Kids channel on September 22, 2024. Addressing the pictures and the party at which they were taken, Dame Dash stated:

"Ain't sh*t happen in the Hamptons. That's the day I met Aaliyah. We hung out there and then we left and that’s what happened...That was 20 years ago and that was not in LA, or Miami. I know they’re gonna play games with those pictures. It's all good. I don’t really care."

Dash dated Aaliyah until the singer passed away in an airplane accident in August 2001. Additionally, Dame Dash also addressed rumors surrounding the party and mentioned in his Instagram Live:

“I don't go to those parties...I went to one about 20 years ago in the Hamptons and that was it. A lot of people were at those, you know what I mean?"

"I don’t know anything about any of those things from 2005 on": Dame Dash comments on Diddy's arrest

During his recent Instagram Live, Dame Dash was asked a lot of questions about his thoughts regarding Diddy's arrest. While the entrepreneur mentioned he was sad over the controversies and allegations pertaining to Diddy, he stated it was crazy and shocking as well.

Additionally, Dash clarified that he remains careful about who he surrounds himself with. He also said that he doesn't judge people for "any preference and all that," and further said that if they keep it to themselves, he has "nothing to do" with any of it.

Dame Dash also commented on the timeline of his relation with Diddy, saying:

“I don’t know anything about any of those things from 2005 on. I wasn’t around, you know, and that was the reason why I wasn’t around."

He continued:

“What’s good is I don’t know anything. I just know I wasn’t there. And whatever happened is very mysterious to me like it was a mystery to everybody else.”

Commenting on how people think Dash had been in Diddy's company and yet did not stop the rapper from engaging in illegal activities, Dash gave his perspective and mentioned:

“People will sit there and watch people do things that could be immoral but until they get caught nobody says anything. Whether it’s illegal or immoral for me I just break out — I don’t wait for people to get busted.”

In other news, as per the judgment of the federal court concerning Josh Webber's copyright infringement case against Dame Dash from 2019, the United States Marshals Services were to auction Dame's 33.3% interest in Roc-A-Fella Records to satisfy the $823,000 judgment.

However, according to Yahoo News, Dash's lawyer has recently claimed that co-founder of the record label, Jay-Z, is exercising his resources to ensure potential bids for Dame's stake fail. According to Dame's lawyer, Jay-Z has also withheld paperwork critical to the valuation of the entrepreneur's stake in the record label.
