Rapper Diddy was arrested from a hotel in New York on September 16, 2024, and is currently facing charges of interstate transportation for prostitution, racketeering conspiracy, and s*x trafficking.

While the rapper was kept on suicide watch for some time at the Metropolitan Detention Center, in Brooklyn, he was taken off the same on September 30, 2024, as per PEOPLE. Meanwhile, Diddy's attorney Marc Agnifilo commented on the rapper considering a plea deal in TMZ's The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, wherein Marc said:

"It's not up to me. It's up to Mr. Combs, and I don't see it happening because he believes he's innocent."

Marc also mentioned:

"And what's more, he believes that he needs to stand up not just for himself — for his family and for everybody who's been targeted by the federal government."

"Maybe I can show the world that a Black man can win in federal court"- Diddy's attorney voices his opinion on behalf of the rapper

In his conversation with TMZ for The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, the rapper's attorney Marc Agnifilo talked about the Last Night rapper's mindset and will to prove himself innocent in court. Speaking on behalf of the rapper, Marc told TMZ:

"He feels an obligation to those people to say, ‘You know what, maybe I can break the model. Maybe I can show the world that a Black man can win in federal court. And I think he probably is the only person I know of who might be able to actually accomplish that goal."

Additionally, AllHipHop received the I Need A Girl rapper's court documents wherein his legal team filed a notice of appeal concerning his bail on September 30, 2024. While his legal team tried to overturn Judge Andrew Carter's decision to deny bail, the judge upheld the previous ruling by Robyn Tarnofsky, who stated that the rapper was a danger to the community and would be a flight risk.

Moreover, in the preview of Diddy's TMZ documentary, his attorney also addressed the raid by the Department of Homeland Security at the rapper's homes in Miami and Los Angeles wherein 1000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant were found. Stating the number might not be precise, Marc Agnifilo said that he doesn't know "where the number 1000 came from".

He stated:

“I can’t imagine its thousands… [I’m] not really sure what the baby oil has to do with anything.”

Marc also said that since the rapper has a big house, he might have bought those products in bulk.

While the Coming Home rapper has pleaded not guilty to all charges, if he is convicted he will be looking at a compulsory minimum sentence of 15 years in jail. However, his attorney confirmed that the rapper is planning to testify at the trial.

Since his indictment, Diddy has been denied bail twice wherein the rapper's legal team also offered a $50 million bail proposal which comprised GPS monitoring at his Miami Star Island home. The rapper's legal team also attempted to prove to the judge that he was not a fight risk by showcasing his communications with the U.S. Attorney's Office.

However, U.S. District Court Judge Andrew Carter mentioned that there is a possibility of the rapper tampering with the witnesses, and denied bail.
