50 Cent's track Many Men produced by Darrell "Digga" Branch has recently witnessed a massive surge in streaming after being used in multiple social media memes and videos featuring the assassination attempt on Donald Trump on July 13, 2024.

The producer of the track, Darrell "Digga" Branch, however, expressed his disappointment with the song being used in Trump's content in an interview with TMZ on July 21, 2024. Branch shared that he had thought it was something staged by the former president. He stated:

"At first when I seen the incident happen, I thought it was something staged that Trump was doing."

The Many Men producer also mentioned that he thought Donald Trump "was up to his old tricks" and how he started getting constant notifications on social media an hour after the assassination attempt incident. Darrell "Digga" Branch noticed everyone getting creative, using the popular track as background music for memes.

"I go in hard on him every chance I get": Many Men producer comments on the song getting connected to Trump

After Many Men was used in memes and videos surrounding the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, the producer of the track, Darrell "Digga" Branch took to Instagram to share that the song had gone up by 250% in streams. Darrell's caption mentioned:

"The result of it all was a massive surge in streams and sales for the song, as it collected over 2.2 million U.S. on-demand audio streams from July 13-15 – up"

In his interview with TMZ, the producer answered a question on if Many Men was the ideal choice for the material made on Trump to which Darrell said that a part of him could see why people were connecting the song to the situation.

However, the producer also said that the other part of him couldn't understand how the situation with Donald Trump got connected to his song. Darrell "Digga" Branch told TMZ:

" I'm not feeling dude at all. I'm not voting for him. People that know me and are close to me know that I go in hard on him every chance I get. So, to have that situation happen like that and then now all of the sudden, the irony of my song being connected to this is just crazy."

Moreover, Darrell also told the publication that Many Men is his most "iconic, legendary production". He also mentioned that the song is a classic that has lasted the test of time, given it is something he worked on 20 years ago. When the interviewer asked Darrell "Digga" Branch whether he would put his foot down if the song continued to be a part of the Trump campaign, the producer gave an affirmative nod and mentioned, "That's not happening".

Darrell also talked about getting a lot of requests from people for using Many Men and gave the instance of boxers and American football quarterback Tom Brady using the track. However, the producer mentioned how he gets the song being used by sportspersons but not in a political context, emphasizing how the track won't be allowed for use in Trump's campaign.

While rapper 50 Cent did not give a statement on the same, the rapper participated in the meme frenzy by performing on Many Men in Boston on July 13, 2024. The rapper's performance featured a doctored meme of Donald Trump's face on the album cover of Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.
