Taylor is known for her love for numerology and uses numbers often in her projects. Several fans have already come up with their own theories about the music video with Malone.
Post Malone talked about the time he was approached by Taylor for the collaboration. Before the Super Bowl, the rapper was in an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, when he said:
"She's so sweet and so kind and talented and she hit me up and said, 'Let's do it.' And I was like, ‘Hell yeah.’"
On April 5, 2024, Taylor Swift teased fans by dropping five exclusive playlists with Apple Music and hinted that the five stages of grief would be a major theme of The Tortured Poets Department. Her promotions also included a pop-up exhibit in Los Angeles hosted by Spotify.
Taylor's fans, also known as Swifties, were able to walk around a library-themed room filled with clues about the record. There were mentions of new lyrics and imagery that hinted at possible content.
Fans have also theorized that the songwriter's upcoming project is about her six-year relationship with English actor Joe Alwyn and their subsequent breakup on April 8, 2023.
The tracks in her album are written with the help of Taylor Swift’s frequent collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner. Meanwhile, Post Malone is listed as a co-writer on Fortnight.
Malone was also featured on Beyoncé's new country album Cowboy Carter, in the track Levii's Jeans. The song had a duration of four minutes and contained several references to Levi's jeans. The brand's stock rose 20% in early April, after the Run The World singer's release.
