Everything we know about Ice Spice's debut studio album Y2K!

The album will officially follow up on Ice Spice's 2023 debut mixtape Like..? which provided the rapper's fanbase with songs like In Ha Mood and Princess Diana, both of which debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Since then, Ice has been teasing the release of Y2K! with social media teasers before dropping the lead single for her project, Think U The Sh*t (Fart) on January 26, 2024.

The single performed well, generating close to 90 million streams on Spotify since it dropped. The song came alongside an accompanying music video garnering over 28 million views after several clips of Ice Spice's hook went viral online.

"Think you the sh-t, b---h? You not even the fart (Grrah) / I be goin' hard (Grrah) / I'm breakin' they hearts, like / B---hes be quick, but I'm quicker (Like) / B---hes be thick, but I'm thicker (Like) / She could be rich, but I'm richer (Damn)"

The rapper has since dropped three more singles, Phat B*tt, Gimmie A Light, and Did It First (Feat. Central Cee), as part of the official Y2K! album rollout.

Out of the singles, Ice Spice has previewed her most recent record, with Central Cee, which has generated a lot of attention online after rumors of them being in a "secret relationship" spread across the internet.

Although none of the rappers have addressed these claims publicly, Cee's ex-girlfriend Madeline Argy took to social media to call out the UK rapper for allegedly cheating on her with Ice Spice.

“Let me tell you about how I did not know that any of this was going to f--king happen. What the f--k, not only did you just snitch on yourself that you’re cheating, but you just told me exactly how. He tells me it’s just marketing, and I know how the internet works so I just forget about it.”

The rapper has also confirmed via a post made to her X account that pre-sale orders for Y2K! are currently live on her official website. Fans will reportedly be given the option to purchase vinyl with an alternative cover art and physical and digital copies of the album.

The complete list of merch available for Y2K! on Ice's official website has been provided below:

  • Y2K! x BBC Box Set 2 - $55.00
  • Y2K! Pop-up Exclusive Vinyl - $18.99

Ice Spice's Y2K! title draws inspiration from the term, famously dubbed "Y2K," and used to refer to the "Passover Year" between the 20th and 21st centuries. The title may also allude to the rapper's birthday, which falls on January 1, 2000.

Ice's upcoming studio album will release on DSPs (Digital Streaming Platforms) on July 26, 2024, and will be distributed via Dolo Entertainment, under an exclusive license to UMG Recordings and 10K Projects.
