Recently, a claim surfaced that singers Lana Del Rey and Lizzo are engaged in an online beef. It emerged as a post on the social media platform X on November 14, shared by the account Drop Pop (@DropPopNet). The post was captioned:

“Lana Del Rey and Lizzo are currently feuding on TikTok."

It featured a collage of the two singers alongside a screenshot from TikTok, which showed two comments, seemingly from the duo. The first was from Lizzo, who wrote, “I’d like to see you back on the charts,” seemingly in response to a post made by Lana Del Rey. The latter also followed up by writing, “I would love to see you run a treadmill.”

It garnered severe traction online and earned over 7.7 million views in less than 24 hours.

However, the claim has turned out to be fake. Lana Del Rey and Lizzo are not feuding, nor do the above-mentioned comments feature on their official TikTok accounts. Additionally, Drop Net’s bio states that it is a "parody account," emphasizing that none of the content on their page should be taken seriously.

Other claims of a feud between Lana Del Rey and Lizzo shared by the account

Drop Pop's latest post on Lana Del Rey and Lizzo feuding wasn’t the only one uploaded on X. A follow-up post also emerged which showed two additional comments from the artists.

While Lizzo was seen hitting back at the Video Games singer by writing, “I hope that alligator eats your big a*s,” Lana Del Rey responded, “You’d know about eating biggie.”

However, this post must also be taken with a grain of salt. The account is a parody page, and the TikTok comments are digitally generated and unfounded. Community notes under the now-viral tweets have also referred to them as fabricated and false.

Drop Pop's bio states:

“Everything posted on the account is satirical and for humorous purposes, our posts are not meant to be taken seriously. DM for removal, enquiries, etc…”

This is not the first time Drop Pop has made such false and unsubstantiated claims. In July 2024, the account satirically claimed that Lana commented, “What planet are you?” on one of Lizzo’s pictures. At the time, the reader’s context helped debunk the post.

Likewise, on November 7, Drop Pop wished New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde on her 28th birthday. However, the images accompanying the post were Charli XCX’s, not Lorde’s.

In July, the account wrongly stated that users could see who has bookmarked a post on X. However, the Help Center on the platform clearly states that while bookmark counts can be clearly seen, the specific accounts that have bookmarked a post remain private.

Notably, Lana Del Rey and Lizzo have not collaborated professionally so far.

Lana has been in the news lately after marrying Louisiana-based alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene on September 26. She even shared on Instagram with fans that Jeremy was “the one and only” and “amazing” and that they were “very happy.”

Meanwhile, the Big Grrrl Small World singer took to her social media earlier this week and shared pictures of her flaunting a slimmer body. She also refuted claims that she used Ozempic for her weight loss journey, adding that calorie deficit and effective weight training have helped her meet her goals.
