Katy Perry is good friends with Australian model Miranda Kerr, showcasing that you can be friends with your fiance's ex-wife.

Perry is currently engaged to Orlando Bloom and the two have a daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom. In addition, Katy Perry is also the stepmother of Flynn, who is Orlando Bloom's son with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

Kerr and Bloom began dating in late 2007 and got married in July 2010. However, the marriage didn't last long, and the two divorced by the end of 2013.

Three years later, Bloom started dating Katy Perry in January 2016. After having an on-and-off relationship for three years, the two got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019. Perry gave birth to Daisy Dove Bloom on August 26, 2020. Miranda Kerr, meanwhile, tied the knot with the CEO of Snap Inc., Evan Spiegel, in 2017.

Katy Perry and Miranda Kerr have raved about each other several times in the past, talking about their blended families and how they have mastered the art of co-parenting their children.

In a 2021 interview with editor Kristina O'Neill for The Wall Street Journal's The Future of Everything Festival, Miranda Kerr opened up about Katy Perry dating her ex-husband, and co-parenting with the two superstars.

Kerr, who has three children with Evan Spiegel, shared:

"I just feel so happy that Orlando found someone that makes him happy, because at the end of the day, for Flynn to have a happy father and a happy mother is the most important thing."

She stressed the comfort of Flynn, elaborating how it was her priority to make sure that her son felt happy and safe. Talking about her divorce with Bloom, she explained:

"Even when we were separating, I thought, 'Is this in the best interest of Flynn?' And I was like, 'Yes, it really is. If you put everything in that perspective it takes it away from anything too personal between you and your ex. It really makes it about the child."

The Australian supermodel also talked about her love for Perry, expressing that she was overjoyed after finding out that Orlando Bloom was dating the Firework songstress.

"Fortunately for me, I absolutely adore Katy. I just feel so happy that Orlando has her, just like I'm so grateful that I found my husband a little over a year after Orlando and I had separated," Kerr said.

Further, speaking about her separation from Orlando Bloom, Kerr recalled how she contemplated being involved in another serious relationship after her falling out with Bloom in 2013.

"At the time I didn't think I would ever be in another long-term, committed relationship. I was just pleasantly surprised that I found Evan and how complementary we are to each other. It worked out in the end for the better, even though at the time it was challenging when you're going through any breakup."

In another interview with E! News (published by Hello Magazine on September 16, 2023), Kerr raved about Katy Perry to host Justin Sylvester. Thereafter, the host referred to them as sister wives and the entire ensemble as 'the perfect blended family.'

When asked about whether she would be vacationing with Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, she said:

"I am sure we will. We are trying to figure it out because originally we were going to be in Australia, Evan and I and the kids, but now I am pregnant I'd rather be home."

The public display of admiration between Katy Perry and Miranda Kerr hasn't been one-sided. In 2023, the pop icon showered love on her fiance's ex-wife, when the two walked the G'Day USA Arts Gala red carpet in Los Angeles.

At the event, Perry presented Kerr with the Excellence in Arts award. While presenting the honor, the 38-year-old singer said:

"Some of you might be confused about why I'm introducing Miranda. That doesn't play into the antiquated narrative of ex-wives and new wives. And yes, it's true, most of the media would like to see us mud wrestle."

She further added:

"We are here to lead by love because Miranda is love, and as a lot of you know, love comes in many family iterations."
