Following Crazy Town singer Shifty Shellshock's demise, House of Pain's Danny Boy expressed his sorrow over the same. Shifty Shellshock aka Seth Brooks Binzer was found dead in his Los Angeles residence on June 24, 2024. The cause of death of the 49-year-old singer hasn't been confirmed yet.

Sharing a photo of himself alongside Shifty Shellshock, Danny Boy mentioned in his Instagram post:

"It breaks my heart that you're gone. We both grew up running wild in those Hollywood streets."

In his Instagram post, the House of Pain rapper also mentioned that the moment in the photo was among the best and the worst times of his life. He also stated that the photo reminds him of the time when they were "high as helicopters" and that is "just how it was back then".

Seth Binzer began his journey in the music arena with Bret "Epic" Manzur in 1992 and the duo formed a group called the Brimstone Sluggers which changed to Crazy Town in 1995. While Crazy Town underwent a tumultuous trajectory and downfall, Shifty Shellshock also dealt with substance abuse throughout the course of his career.

According to Variety, Shifty Shellshock appeared on VH1's shows Sober House and Celebrity Rehab twice. He was hospitalized in 2012 after losing consciousness and falling into a coma. Apart from substance abuse, the rapper was also involved in cases of domestic abuse and his last arrest took place in 2022 for driving under the influence (DUI).

In his Instagram tribute to the late Crazy Town singer, Danny Boy mentioned that the 90s were wild as the time was full of crazy nights, "hanging out with crazy people at Crazy Girls". Expressing his emotions for Shifty Shellshock, the House of Pain rapper mentioned:

"I was truly rooting for you and had always hoped you would find the recovery that a handful of us found from the awful disease of addiction. But in the end this thing looks like it got you. You’re free now, but you will be missed."

Toward the end of his caption, Danny Boy sent his heartfelt condolences to Seth Binzer's friends and family and stated "Nothing gold can stay".

Apart from Danny Boy, Shifty Shellshock's band member Bret "Epic" Manzur also penned a tribute for the late singer via Instagram. Bret also mentioned Shellshock's issues with maintaining sobriety throughout his life, calling it a battle that he fought privately and publicly.

Bret "Epic" Manzur mentioned in his Instagram post:

"I wish with all my heart that his story could have ended differently, but we find solace in the hope that Seth has finally found the peace he was searching for so desperately all these years."

Shifty Shellshock's demise comes as a surprise to his bandmates and fans. The singer is survived by his three children. He was married to Melissa Clark in 2002 and divorced in 2011. The couple share a son-Halo.

In 2008, he dated Tracy and they share a son, Gage. Additionally, the late singer dated and was engaged to British model Jasmine Lennard in 2010. However, the couple called off their engagement, but share a son, Phoenix.
