Lil Durk's arrest coincides with the arrest of five other men: Details explored

According to details of Lil Durk's arrest by The Independent, the rapper's arrest corresponds with the arrest of five other men: Keith Jones, Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Asa Houston, and David Brian Lindsey. All five men were indicted by California federal prosecutors on October 24, 2024, and have been linked to Lil Durk's hip hop ground Only The Family (OTF).

As per WGN Chicago, the five men are indicted on charges of committing murder-for-hire resulting in death, conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, and use of carry and discharge of firearms and a machine gun in the furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death.

Lil Durk is currently in Broward County Jail and his arrest is related to a detailed federal investigation circling a murder conspiracy. The rapper is waiting for a transfer of custody to US Marshals.

Additionally, the publication mentioned that there are claims that the murder-for-hire plot was set to target rapper Quando Rondo as a response to Rondo's suspected involvement with the death of another rapper King Von, who was shot outside a nightclub in Atlanta on November 6, 2020.

King Von was Lil Durk's cousin and he was one of the three men who were shot and killed outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta, Georgia, in November 2020. As per Georgia's Bureau of Investigation, King Von's death was the result of an altercation in a parking lot. While publications like BBC have tried to reach out to the rapper's representatives, there has been no comment from their end yet.

In other news, Lil Durk's upcoming album Deep Thoughts was set to release on October 18, 2024. However, before the rapper announced the same on his Instagram story, the Apple Music page for the album mentioned that its release date was delayed by a month with the date changing to November 22, 2024.
