Travis Barker's son Landon Barker seemingly celebrated his birthday with a Diddy-themed party on October 9, 2024, at the Nobu restaurant in Malibu. Videos of the party went viral, wherein a group of bottle service girls were seen carrying baby oil with flashing lights inside the bottles. This appears to be a reference to federal authorities finding 1000 bottles of baby oil at Diddy's homes.
Moreover, in another video of the party the DJ can be heard saying:
"We're getting really freaky tonight. We're getting Diddy freaky tonight."
Some photos and videos from the party showcase Landon Barker dressed in white, laughing with his friends who were holding the baby oil bottles. Videos of the party garnered a lot of traction on the internet and were met with criticism.
Most of the props and activities in the party suggest references to Diddy's "Freak-Off" parties which have come to attention after the rapper's arrest on September 16, 2024. In the substance-fueled freak-off parties, the Last Night rapper would allegedly subject victims to emotional, physical, and verbal abuse.
Diddy's s*x trafficking trials date is set for May 2025
According to CBS News dated October 10, 2024, Diddy appeared before U.S. District Court Judge Arun Subramanian and was given a May 5, 2025 trial date by the judge. A grand jury indicted the rapper and he was arrested in September 2024. He is currently in the Metropolitan Detention Center facing charges of racketeering, s*x trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.
As per the indictment, the rapper allegedly abused women for several years and his employees and associates seemingly helped him carry out the abuse. Moreover, the victims were also allegedly blackmailed or threatened with violence.
When the rapper entered the court on October 10, 2024, he spoke with his legal team, post which attorney Anthony Ricco from the rapper's legal defence team mentioned:
"He's making an adjustment. We really want to put an end to all of the clowning that we see on the internet. This is a serious proceeding with serious consequences."
Moreover, according to the news portal, prosecutors have a deadline of December 31, 2024, to turn over this discovery. It was mentioned by the prosecution in court that they have more than 96 electronic devices obtained from three searches, two of which took place at the rapper's Los Angeles and Miami homes and one at an airport.
On the other hand, on October 9, 2024, Diddy's legal team accused the U.S. government of leaking the 2016 video of the rapper assaulting Cassie Ventura which was shared by CNN in May 2024. In their letter, supporting a motion for an evidentiary hearing filed in U.S. Court for the Southern District of New York, the Finna Get Loose rapper's lawyers requested the judge for:
"Four forms of relief related to what the defense believes was a series of unlawful government leaks, which have led to damaging, highly prejudicial pre-trial publicity that can only taint the jury pool and deprive Mr. Combs of his right to a fair trial."
While Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him, his legal team believes that since March, the government has been leaking confidential grand jury information and material to prejudice the public and potential jury members against the rapper.
